Did it go MIJ/MIG I, MIG II/assembled IG then MIwherever/assembled IG or is MIG II/assembled IG the same as MI wherever/assembled IG one & the same? EO gave a very short partial description of the two models, 62184/62191, following the last MIJ version 62159, but still I note peculiarities in weight/fov within the same 62191 model. During the Libyan Civil War in 2011, many rebels went into battle with their personally-owned weapons, including old bolt-action rifles and shotguns. Of these, Carcano-style rifles and carbines have been the most frequently observed style of bolt-action rifle. They were predominantly used by rebels in the Nafusa Mountains. These old weapons saw combat once again due to the rebels' limited access to modern firearms. Additionally, some Libyan rebels preferred to use their familiar hunting weapons over the more modern, yet unfamiliar, assault rifles available. [10] [11] According to Al-Fitouri Muftah, a member of the rebel military council overseeing the western mountain front, as many as 1 in 10 rebels in the region were armed with World War II-era weapons. [12] Variants [ edit ] The Minox company definitely prefers untypical parameters. It is perhaps the only manufacturer on the market which has offered binoculars with the objective lenses 58 mm and 52 mm in diameter. In the case of the latter group of instruments we shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that 10x52 pairs of binoculars are so close to classic devices. One of them we even had an opportunity to test during our big test of 10x50 binoculars. If a producer features such an instrument in its line-up it usually offers also 7x50 and 12x50 models to have a full complement. Not so long ago a quite narrow 8x50 category was introduced to the market as well. When it comes to it, Minox went half a step further and launched an even more untypical model so the HG 8.5x52 BR. Big, comfortable and metallic central wheel with the working range of 360 degrees. It features a distance scale and moves very comfortably. Individual focusing performed by a narrow, shiftable ring on the right eyepiece. It moves the outer lens. In 2018, the tighter C.I.P. chamber (6,5 × 55 SE) was banned from competitions in the Scandinavian shooting associations on the grounds of competitive equity and safety. [10] Since 2020, regulations changes in Germany resulted in new SKAN barrels manufactured by SIG Sauer being be marked "6,5 × 55 SE, approved for SKAN". [23]

In spite of appearances it makes a lot of sense. With such an objective diameter the 8.5x magnification is, so to speak, in the middle between typical night and marine 7x50 parameters and very universal 10x50 ones. The untypical 8.5x52 combination offers us also equally untypical exit pupil, with a diameter of 6.12 mm. As a result we get an instrument directed toward usages in poor lighting conditions but not featuring such a big pupil as in the classic 7x50, 8x56 or 9x63 night models.

Indonesia, used during Indonesian National Revolution , limited use due to scarcity of ammunition. [22]

All Swedish Mauser bolt actions were proof tested with a single 6.5×55mm proof round developing approximately 455MPa (65,992psi) piezo pressure (55,000 CUP psi). [15] [16]

Binoculars review

Apparently it seems the MIJ 62159 was 5.5*/289' the current 62191 5.8*/306'. The MIJ focus wheel had 'ASPHERIC LENS TECHNOLOGY' on the focus wheel. The current 62191 has 'MADE IN GERMANY'.
