During the Libyan Civil War in 2011, many rebels went into battle with their personally-owned weapons, including old bolt-action rifles and shotguns. With such an objective diameter the 8.5x magnification is, so to speak, in the middle between typical night and marine 7x50 parameters and very universal 10x50 ones.
