Whether you’re at an A-list after party or just chilling at home, nothing beats a “Casamigos and soda” for a refreshing, celeb-approved drink. Each batch is distilled for a minimum of two months in stainless steel barrels, and delivers a nice mix of sweet agave, light citrus and just a hint of vanilla. This article relies excessively on references to primary sources. Please improve this article by adding secondary or tertiary sources. Blanco: Unaged. Very grassy on the nose, a note that continues through a bright agave expression that features strong hints of lemon and grapefruit. Reposado tequila is also aged but the aging process can be anywhere from two months to 11 months. It has a smooth, even finish. It’s less harsh on the tongue and won’t give you as strong as a hangover… provided that you’re sipping responsibly of course. Most distilleries will bulk-produce to meet demands. But at Casa Noble, each small batch is monitored and assessed to meet internal standards. Any plant waste created during production is used as compost to fertilize the fields. Casa Noble’s efforts to manage and reuse any waste means producing small quantities at a slower pace. To begin, the agave is harvested when it reaches its fullest maturity, after 11 years (most growers will harvest after only seven years). In production, fermentation at Casa Noble lasts five days because it relies on natural, airborne, yeasts (this process typically takes anywhere from 20 hours to three days). Distillation at Casa Noble also takes more time because its tequila is triple- distilled, a process that takes 12.5 hours. (At most other distilleries, this process takes from two to five hours.) The Cooking Process Takes Longer, Too

Like all of Casa Noble’s offerings, this one is certified organic, and has a limited number of bottles in select cities around the country. It’s best sipped slow for a warm, inviting mouthfeel. One difference Casa Noble makes in their distillation process is that, rather than stopping at two distillations as you would with a typical tequila, they distill the spirits three times in stainless steel pot stills. But Casa Noble believes those types of barrels allow too much char flavor into the tequila. Instead, the light char inside French oak barrels is better suited to the Casa Noble brand. The distillery’s reposado expression ages for one year in used French oak casks, while the añejo spends two years in new barrels before bottling. The reposado barrels are used seven to eight times before being disposed of. The Founder Handles Every Bottle of Extra-Añejo After five years of aging (and hard-earned waiting), Casa Noble founder Jose “Pepe” Hermosillo bids adieu to each bottle by signing and numbering the label. Casa Noble Was One of the First Celebrity-Owned Tequila Brands Silver (or “Blanco”) tequila is probably the most well-known, and it typically appears perfectly clear in the bottle. This is tequila that’s only aged for a few weeks, so it doesn’t have time to develop the color and characteristics that come from a longer aging process. Silver tequila is great to drink on its own, but it’s great for mixed drinks as well. It will typically taste sweeter and more refreshing, with a smooth, silky finish.

As we started cask finishing, we created very exciting offerings, the first being Seleccion del Fundador. That expression used To Kalon wine barrels, and T5 casks from Taransaud. These are some of the most exclusive cask and wine combinations. We are working on several others and have more cask-finished Tequilas to come, but this approach takes Tequila to the next level of complexity. Celebrity Tequila brands are making it harder for new, up-and-coming brands to get off the ground. Overall, they are raising the demand for Tequila and allowing consumers to try new Tequilas, thus giving smaller brands a chance to grow, albeit at a slower pace. What branding they did put on the bottle is small, impactful, and elegant. The label is a small square of paper at the bottom of the bottle with the brand information and the signature of the founder, done as if it was an aged piece of parchment. The logo is actually made of metal and glued onto the front of the bottle, which looks great. I think this bottles does a good job of balancing the need for branding and marketing while still having a clean look that showcases the spirit.
