Whole-wheat flour is practically non-existent in Peru (and most of South America). Locals use white flour. Later on, I found (expensive) whole-wheat flour Lima’s organic stores/markets.

Sophisticated meals sometimes need sides like pasta or rice. Higher-end portable camp ovens often come with range-style burners to provide more cooking options or let you cook multiple dishes at once. Keep in mind, if you’re using heat in more than one area, your unit will consume more fuel than ovens using only one heat source. PortabilityWe’ll cover everything from top heat to how many things you can cook simultaneously, so by the end of this comparison you should have a good idea of which portable oven is the better option for you. So, read on to figure out which camping oven you should buy! Weight And Portability The only issue is that you can’t really force it to stay at a certain temperature the whole time. So, even if you need to cook something at a really high temperature, you can’t just put it in the oven and then forget about it. You will have to monitor the temperature and open it up every now and then to let out some of that heat. Otherwise, it will stay at 600ºF, and that will just scorch anything inside. I also used his idea and I worked out very well! I was very good able to bake some bread on a windy day on Corsica last September without the temperature inside the oven was going up and down all the time.

This 1000g stove is an ideal way of cooking on the go, particularly on trips where camping-specific fuel may be hard to come by. It's also a good choice as an emergency stove to keep handy 'just incase'. With the Camp Chef oven, you get a more reasonable max temperature of 400ºF. That’s lower than you get in most household ovens, but still high enough that you’ll be able to cook anything you want. And since 400ºF is not too high, you can spend less time monitoring the temperatures of the oven and more time enjoying your camping trip. I used a postal bag from heavy duty cotton, and used it now 10 times or so, still going strong without suffering of the heat. Reply We got fed up doing that every morning and the whole plan was abolished after a couple of weeks or months. As its name suggests, the SPRK+ runs on butane, which isn’t as readily available as the ubiquitous green propane canisters. In addition, butane struggles in cold temperatures (around and below freezing), so it’s less versatile than the propane designs on our list and also falls short of more winter-ready liquid-fuel models. That said, the SPRK+ is very well rounded for a butane model and handily beats out Coleman’s Classic 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove in heat output, weight, and wind protection. If you don’t mind the tradeoffs in opting for this fuel type, the Eureka is an affordable and thoughtfully designed single-burner stove. Other leading one-burner options to consider include Fore Winds’ sleek and rugged Luxe Camp Stove and Snow Peak's compact Home & Camp Burner (although both designs are much pricier than the Eureka). How hot do these ovens get? Well, both of them get hot enough to cook anything your heart desires, let’s get that out of the way. The picture above reveals what this is about, and you have seen already in the name that this is for pizzas. So the oven has its own burner and the energy source is the bottle that you see on the side. Here is again something ingenious from the Winnerwell brand. This stove attaches to the pipe so the heat from a wood-burning stove below goes around the inner box and heats it. This model here is for a 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) pipe but as far as I know, they build them in several sizes. Joining the Cascade Classic above is another well-rounded budget design from Coleman: their Triton Camping Stove. The tabletop design features two strong, highly adjustable 11,000 BTU burners that run on a standard 16-ounce propane canister (adapters are available to make it compatible with a larger tank). With decent simmer control and solid output at full tilt, the Coleman is one of only a few stoves in its price range that’s capable enough for cooking diverse meals. Last but not least, its 11-pound weight and manageable size make the Triton easy to transport in a car and store at home. Making chapattis is as easy as it can get. Mix flour with water until you get the right substance, make thin patties of them and bake them on the griddle. They are delicious when fresh and still warm, but turn dry and hard as stone when stored for the next day.
