What:All friendly fighters within 3″ from the reacting one are considered in cover for the rest of the round. Madcap Destruction (Triple, Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig, all Squig Hoppers and Boingrots): A bonus move up to 12″ and if it ends next to an enemy, inflict up to 6 damage. Shootas are good options that provide a decent threat at distance in particular for warbands with low count of models that would need to pursue your units hiding over a roof on a corner of the battlefield. This article will build a 1000 point army, followed by another one that then takes what we do here and makes a 2000 point build.

Giant Cave Squigs are especially huge and ferocious beasts that make excellent steeds for the more daring grot Loonbosses. They hurtle into battle like rubbery meteors – all fangs, prodding spikes and shrieked war cries. Another breed is the snufflesquig, nothing more than a big nose with tiny legs but extremely useful in finding the best quality of mushrooms and therefore trained for this particular hunt. Warshcrawla Sloggoth : As you can see by now I’ve gone very far off the original “squigs only” theme. But where the Marshcrawla is concerned it’s been absolutely worth it. Finally, an aura so big it can keep up with my army. Well most of it; even 18″ isn’t big enough to catch any units you have to send off on the flanks. But the +1 to hit has been great and it also gives me another fairly nasty monster to send in in a pinch. But how do they play on the tabletop? Let’s take a look at their fighters and abilities. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Gloomspite Gitz Warband Note: if you haven’t read the basic rules for Warcry before reading this article, it might be helpful to know that the game’s abilities are activated by using 6 dice that you roll at the start of your turn. This is a fun army to play as there is so much randomness to it. You really can’t control the movement of a lot of your units so when planning out your move think about what the average will be and go from there. Your heavy hitter is your general, so you want to have him dish out as much damage as possible before you opponent takes him down. It’s not a bad idea to cast mystic shield or your madcaps unique spell on him to make him a little more survivable as well. Also, one big weakness is the bravery of your units so be sure to save a command point or to, in case you need to use inspiring presence. Main advantage is that the bonus move would work in the Herder activation thus allowing the use of any other ability in the squig activation but apart from this the herder does not add much more and it costs a Triple…

Speaking of Troggs, last week we looked at playing the Troggoths at 1,000 and 2,000 points. You can find those tactics posts below: Just for fun here we present few thematic warbands, meant more for fun or narrative context than for competitive play. Note that in narrative play you need to complete a quest that allows you to recruit a Hero before being able to add him to your roster. A personal favorite of a lot of Age of Sigmar players are the cuddly lovable Squigs. (I imagine it is only a matter of time until we get Squig plushies) A very popular model in the world that was, and a surprise army in Age of Sigmar 2017 3rd heat ( see here), they are even more deadly and fun to play in the new Gloomspite Gitz army. Spider Bite (Triple, all Spider Riders and Scuttleboss): A chance to damage an engaged enemy up to 18 damage. After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products. Finally his command ability is used in the combat phase and lets you add 1 to Wound rolls for friendly squig units wholly within 18” of this model. Let’s start with the Moonclan Boss, the only Leader from this set. He is similar to a Loonboss with 1″ weapon, less wounds and no special ability. Malevolent Moon: Unlike other auras that it’s easy for your squigs to bounce away from, this one starts where you want it and then moves around fast. The mortal wounds are really just gravy.

The Cave Squig is not any more what used to be. Its biggest advantage is Strength 4, putting it in a much better position to score at least a minimum hit, for the rest he has the same profile of a Sneaky Snuffler with Toughness 4 and a bit less wounds. There you have it. A very expensive 2000 point mostly Squig army that I don’t know is competitive or not. You have a lot of bodies, but I think against a shooting or magical type of army you might be in trouble unless you can get into combat that first turn. It sure is a fun army though, and I guarantee you and your opponent will laugh a lot as to what the Squigs decide to do on any given turn. The Gobbapalooza are a particular set of miniatures that can be used individually as a fighter within a Gloomspite Skrap, or as an Ally in any Destruction warband. If two of the dice show the same value, they can be used to activate a Double ability. If three show the same value, they can be used for a Triple ability, and so on.

Sound da Charge(Triple, Pokin Snark):increase up to 3″ the Move of friendly fighters starting nearby this fighter. If you love Squigs in either 40k of Age of Sigmar you are not going to want to miss this article on how to field an army of them! Grots are omnipresent so it’s no surprise they can be found in large numbers even in the Eightpoints, either by searching some glass for their potions or other sneaky and nefarious tasks. There’s even who says that some shamans madder than others are trying to call the Bad Moon over the Varanspire… Rippa’s Snarlfangs are Gloomspite Gitz third Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 3.
