As a dominant device in large-scale photonic integration, the cascaded y-branch waveguide [ 40, 41] can achieve 2 n channel uniform output. The y-branch has achieved 1 × 256 [ 40] splitters, which is of great significance for the efficient utilization of sources and large-scale photonic integrated chips.
