For those in the United States and Canada, Forge World Memphis** has had its requisitions delayed by solar interference, so the Omnissiah’s Talon box won’t arrive until early next year. This is the largest Battleforce of 2021 if we are looking purely at the number of models. Though this set has 40 zombies. 40! that’s near enough 20 twins. Sure it’s a lot of models, but as a painter, this is the last thing I want.

Arising from a slumber of aeons, this Necrons really need a good coffee. Otherwise they’re grumpy for the first hundred years or so. This now sleepless legion will scour the world for a good cuppa with;

2021 AoS & 40k Christmas Battleforces: Unboxing

Season 5 of Warhammer Underworlds was finally revealed at Gencon 2021. It is set in the underwater, beneath the seas of Ulgu, the realm of Shadow, in Harrowdeep. Killdakka, what a wonderful word to say out loud… Ork speech is poetry when you think about it. This box includes 20 Boyz, plus a Deffkilla Wartrike, your choice of Orky aeroplane, and a Big Mek. That’s lots of kill, and indeed dakka. I admit, this box just makes me laugh because if anything says “Christmas” less than “Hedonites of Slaanesh”, it’s “Blade-Carnival.” While a box full of simple marines might not be exciting, it’s certainly viable as you’ll need a ton of marines to fill out a full list anyways!

We saw some Skeleton Warriors in Cursed City, but here are some new models available outside of the board game with the same style. Zombies All six of these battleforces are coming this December, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community for more details. “ Warhammer Community Warhammer Fest Day 4 finally previewed the last warband for Season 4 (Direchasm) of Warhammer Underworlds, and it’s really fishy! And holy crab! That little crustacean was the highlight of Warhammer Fest!The main event next week is Battleforces, massive boxes containing a wealth of units for a faction. They’re the ideal place to start a new army for the new year , or to expand an existing force. There are 10 boxes (count ‘em) split between Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. First up, everyone’s favourite grim future gets six boxes.

But are they a good value? We’re going to break down each box by its components if bought separately.

It can’t be all joy at the holiday. Not when the Ossiarch Bonereapers are here to take and take and take…. Let’s see who’s going to spoil the fun; These cranky killing machines are off to reclaim the galaxy by force, and this box comes with more than enough firepower to do just that, with Lokhust Heavy Destroyers and Canoptek Doomstalkers. You will also get a Psychomancer, a squad of Necron Warriors, and melee support in the form of Flayed Ones and Ophydian Destroyers. Adeptus Mechanicus Battleforce: Omnissiah’s Talon

Add a little more finesse to your slaughter with the Sybarite Blade-Carnival, which collects a cavalcade of elite Slaanesh Mortals in one place. When these peerless warriors aren’t preening, they’re a surgical strike force comprising 30 miniatures – perfect for tearing reality in two and summoning gaggles of Daemonettes.Lord Kroak, the most ancient of Seraphon’s Slaans, finally gets a new model. Although, you know, he has been technically dead since the first time he received a miniature many years ago, and this is just his mummy. Newborn of Slaanesh If the skeletal-robot theme of Necrons is more our speed, then this box also comes with a great selection of different types of models to give you a sense of what a full army might be like. Radukar the Wolf and his Court return from Cursed City in form of miniatures to be usable in a Soulblight Gravelords army (or as a painting project). Kainan’s Reapers (Ossiarch Bonereapers Warband) Decorate your hearth with bolter, melta, and flamer, for this box has ‘em all and more. Along with a Sister Dogmata and a squad each of Battle Sisters and Celestian Sacresants, this force also includes two giant tanks that will definitely add a little spice to your holiday carnage. The Deathrattle Skeletons are a bit of a miss, but not entirely. While I don’t care for them as much as Deadwalker Zombies or Dire Wolves I think they have value, especially if you intend to play a more casual game. Get a Necromancer or Wight Lord to go with them and they’ll hold their own just fine. Final Verdict: Must-buy Lumineth Realm-Lords – Vanari Shining Host
