This is a much fresher and brighter scent and feels more like Code EDP and Prada L’Homme mixed together. Pretty simple light citrus powder with some woods and overbearing aldehydes, not even that great of a smell.My signature scent is Prada L’Homme which is also powdery, but this one takes it to a different level, and I don’t like it. IMO this is a better alternative than Acqua di Gio, the scent is more versatile all year round, and more unique. Armani Code Parfum nails versatility with a sweet warmth that is suitable for dates and a fresh, soapy vibe that "works for work". The Armani Code fragrances convey a mood of elegant seduction, inspired by the man who attracts with innate magnetism, who seduces without provocation, and who marries authenticity with an ease of being. Sometimes fragrances seem to stay the same throughout the dry down, what Armani Code does is expose you to its citrus and freshness, then a few minutes later expose the bitter star anise, and maintain it with the leather.

After that the star anise and leather make its appearance and give it a slightly sour, powdery leather smell which can smell slightly odd at times. for Giorgio Armani because they don't deserve 5 full points after they did a great cologne so dirty like that. The deep, mysterious allure we cherished is replaced by a more blue-leaning scent, akin to Bleu De Chanel and its kin. It's the kind of fragrance that exudes well, even though the concept is not the exposure, but the elegance.I keep getting whiffs off myself all throughout the day, and yet by no means is it too loud or overbearing. I never rebought the scent until a few months ago when I saw it wasn't much for a decent sized bottle and I wanted to see how it held up. It has a slightly animalic/skin quality to it mixed with the leather and tonka bean which is the most prominent to me. The newer batches are more fresh than the older versions, the older had a more dry powdery leather tobacco with vanilla surrounding it while the newer is more top heavy musky Tonka with very little to no tobacco or leather.

Will have to give it a try eventually, but at least the Parfum version is there and it’s very solid too. Code can be your signature fragrance or maybe just for date nights, I cannot believe how versatile it is for a leather fragrance, due to that citrus opening providing a smooth transition from citrus to sexy.

I remember when it came out, nothing like it in the market, people where asking me what do you have on. Cool and refreshing fragrance at first but as the nuance unfolds you can tell there's spice, musk, florals, tonka and a very interesting note of olive blossom generally giving it more body. A pleasant, zesty opening is immediately joined by tonka and leather, leading to some minutes of interesting contrast. This is expressed in the fragrance’s aromatic top notes and powerfully masculine base notes, with the heart now infused with an amplified sensitivity. Another association I got is Lacoste Essential, although Essential is way lighter, more peppery than bitter, and doesn't have that warm dry part. After this introduction, the epytome "boring" might also appear, but I assure you, this is not the case.this fragrance is the most mysterious fragrance you can ever own and the sexiest for sure that you can never describe or explain or even understand how it behaves .
