I come back to you because I noticed last Monday that an announcement concerning the Extra edition of 1986 had been published before it’s mysteriously disappeared. Would need to manually rip most of the tracks from my vinyl and CD collection as I don’t already have them saved as MP3s. e. Madonna, Prince, David Bowie), the whole point is to gather up the tracks that Now cannot or will not licence. Latin flavoured Dance-Pop from Animal Nightlife, Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine, and Matt Bianco is up next – before legends Bryan Ferry, Sting, and Simple Minds begin a run of beautiful tracks that close with Level 42’s ‘Leaving Me Now’, Tears For Fears’ ‘I Believe’, and ‘Moments In Love’ from The Art Of Noise. NOW is proud to present ‘ Yearbook Extra 1985’ – 3 CDs featuring 60 more stellar pop moments from 1985.

Hi – Re the 1979 Extra Plus, one or two typos but main issue is Still by the Commodores was on the main 1979 Yearbook (cd4, track 14).Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. NOW is proud to present Yearbook Extra 1985 – 3 CDs featuring 60 more stellar pop moments from 1985. Unless another compilations happen in parallel to the Yearbook series in the future… After all, there are few artists who appear in other NOW compilations (like DM or Madonna), why wouldn’t they appear in a new series of compilations ?

On the other hand, I have plenty suggestions for More Extra Plus volumes for all years 1979-1984 so it probably does come down to what they can easily license. One I particularly enjoyed on a TOTP 40th anniversary rewatch recently was Tantalise by Jimmy the Hoover. Read more about the condition New: An item that is still in its original shrink wrap from the manufacturer and the original manufacturer’s seal (if applicable) has not been removed.

I did include it on Paul’s Forgotten ’80s – a Mixcloud set which you may have already seen – link is https://apopfansdream. Frankie label-mates Art of Noise pop-up on CD 4 with ‘Close (to the Edit)’ and the same disc offers a hero’s welcome to Paul Hardcastle’s ’19’, sticks bananas up the tailpipe of Harold Faltermeyer’s classic ‘Axel F. The third disc opens with the breath-taking ‘Cloudbusting’ from Kate Bush, and Indie anthem ‘How Soon Is Now?I have also one question for you : Are you going to make a playlist for the “Now Yearbook ’80-’84 The Final Chapter”? They completely complement the Yearbook and Yearbook Extra compilations which delight those nostalgic for the great era of music. For example Top of the Pops by the Rezillos almost always uses the album track instead of the single.

Pop from Thompson Twins, Dead Or Alive, Stephen Duffy, Howard Jones is here– and another collaboration between Gary Numan and Shakatak’s Bill Sharpe on ‘Change Your Mind’ – before Elton John, Paul Young, and King, wrapping up with three exquisite soulful ballads from Billy Ocean, Jermaine Jackson, and Commodores. In some instances, I have had to settle for album versions on Spotify whereas for Mixcloud I would want to upload the single mix so there would be inconsistency. There will surely be a full public enquiry into how Kate Bush’s‘Running Up That Hill’ DOESN’T end up on a compilation celebrating 1985 (especially one that that is released in 2022). Grandmaster Melle Mel and The Furious Five, along with Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force, and Cameo open, followed by Five Star, Chaka Khan, The Pointer Sisters and two rarely compiled gems from Sandra, and Sheila E with the brilliant ‘A Love Bizarre (Pt.I wonder what version of Tarzan Boy we’ll get in Yearbook 85, probably the original but in 85 the summer remix was the version we were hearing on the radio and on Now 6.
