About this deal

This monitor has native Adaptive Sync support, meaning it supports both FreeSync and is G-SYNC compatible as well. If you're really serious about color sensitive work though there are probably much better and much more accurate monitors out there.

This probably won't bother most people but I like to keep everything neat and cable-managed so these things annoy me. Information about whether there is a possibility for wall mounting according to the VESA Mounting Interface Standard (MIS). If you’re someone who likes to play games at night and don’t need the wide gamut and color accuracy, you may prefer to opt for a cheaper VA panel. But for now, Samsung has just two Odyssey OLED monitors it's introducing: a 34-inch model and a 49-inch model. They perform very similarly gaming-wise; the Gigabyte has a higher refresh rate of 170Hz, but the LG has a better response time. LG UltraGear™ Gaming Monitors are created from the ground up to give gamers the edge, including verified NVIDIA® G-SYNC®* compatibility.

It also has a low contrast that makes blacks look gray in the dark and lacks a local dimming feature to further improve it. Center-display crosshairs give enhanced vision and pro-level precision for increased accuracy in first-person shooter games. But with a panel that looks as elegant as this, I feel the stand itself is a bit too aggressively styled. I always heard people say that the Dell has good colors for a TN panel but compared to an IPS panel its flaws are apparent.Although the IPS technology is showing its age with the low contrast ratio, the 4K 160 Hz panel means this monitor should last you quite a while, as it will take a few more years before GPUs are able to saturate its refresh rate. A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience.

Unfortunately, the sRGB mode locks many settings, including the Response Time and Black Stabilizer settings, so if you want to use those settings, you'll need to use the 'Gamer 1' mode that has oversaturated colors. It's most noticeable with reds and blues; for example in shows and movies people's skin can look a little too flushed and orange/brown/beige background elements can appear too red and it looks a bit off.Ignoring all the marketing BS, response times are great for both monitors and I didn't notice any difference.
