Addressing the various elephants in the room… yes, it’s a sweeter and even less “oudier” version of Oud For Greatness from Initio… and also yes, it’s yet another vanilla/musk fragrance… but even so, Arabians Tonka is a delicious parfum in its own right! This is a gorgeous night time fragrance and perfect for the colder time of year to wear in Autumn and Winter. Today I got to try this one and from the card knew I really liked it so I tried on the skin and contrary to people saying how projectile and strong this is, the tester just doesn’t project on my skin? Intense Cafe will enter the room before you, fill it, and then leave everyone in the room smelling it for hours and hours and hours and days later and when you wake up tomorrow it's still going to be there. It smells good (very sweet musky with BR540 vibe) but it gives me a headache every time i wear it thats why i do not wear as often.

The rose is the same as in Intense Caffé and Saffron and sweetness are the core of BR540, so I see where the comparisons come from, even though I think AT is very different as a whole, with an added hint of freshness and a je ne sais quoi that's quite unique. The sales rep in Harrods London today told me that on sales metrics last month (Dec 23) Montale Arabians Tonka was the single best selling fragrance in the whole fragrance hall (against all the big names Dior Guerlain Tom Ford etc etc). In particular, it must be the saffron which, even in other perfumes, mingles with my natural smell, creating an almost annoying metallic effect.Never tried any of the montale collection as the bottle design put me of a little bit, the bottle looks abit cheap, but decided to sample arabian tonka today on a bit of card and it's such a beautiful smell that I have literally been holding the sample card to my nose all day,I wish I tried the montale line alot sooner!

As someone else mentioned before, this perfume is suited to the outdoors more, due to monster projection potential. C.) are two fragrances that are so similar that i have a hard time distinguishing which is which so keep that in mind if you are interested in Pierre Montale's perfumes. As our fragrances are in high demand and are constantly being manufactured, we do advise to let the fragrance sit for 7-14 days to obtain good performance. Sprayed on a hoodie that I wore once, tried it again over a week later and the second I took it out of my closet it smelled storngly of Arabians Tonka. If MCB is more of a clubbing fragrance then this is its sibling that wears suits and goes to fancy evening events or fine restaurants.If anything, this smells veryyyy similar to PDM Oajan and I can't believe I haven't seen anyone compare the two. Honestly didn’t like this house for years but since I got myself an intense cafe, sensual instinct bottle and Arabians tonka recently, I’m enjoying them very much.
