This version of the character is the son of a doctor who was murdered by the Red Guard for treating a wounded anarchist. The Face of Sorrow reflects a visage of one who has cast away their humanity for the power to see their will come to fruition. To face off against Scarecrow's senior commander, you must destroy all of the mines, and shut down all of the checkpoints and watchtowers. Regardless, its ghastly residents have sought to delve into the depths of their inhumanity for higher knowledge.

Its soul long departed, the broken frame of this hound is now home to a thing of blind spite and rage.Downplayed with Catwoman, whose real name is given as Kitty Grimalkin, but is mentioned to have used Selina Kyle as a stage name during her days as a pornographic actress. He does that with this Elseworld and truly brings out the vibe of the era in a pre-World War 2 Gotham City.

Now, this cursed vessel rises anew, unburdened by the fear of death, for it has become a gruesome weapon. Jones has the Joker's skin, hair and lip color and is prone to making jokes, but he's also a Sinister Minister who runs a knockoff version of the Ku Klux Klan. The artwork is dark and perfectly in period - the story is dark and perhaps little to clever for its own good - the way its plays changes on Catwoman and others. But, from nowhere, a mysterious Bat-Man appears to battle democracy's foes and possibly to save the world. Just as this incarnation of the Caped Crusader is devoid of any deeper motivations, so too does this comic suffer from a dearth of developmental issues enshrouding a complete lack of fidelity to the original series.

Along the way, Bruce is aided by his faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth as he is drawn into a web of blackmail and deceit involving beautiful film star Kitty Grimalkin, and uncovers a plot that might set off a world war. Afterwards you'll need to take the commander to the GCPD to wrap up the mission (this counts for the explosive ordinance one).
