Perhaps it is the 1980's style musk with a combination with the anise and caraway that is such a turn off to me.

Not a bad scent, but my first impression was definitely a let down and while I do not hate this fragrance, I do not love it. The opening smells like lemon oil mixed with Azzaro - not my favorite part of the fragrance, but worth it to get to that RG dry down. The base notes became overbearing throughout the day though, and I ultimately preferred something more friendly.Aramis New West provides a fresh option radiating the open, free-spirited attitude of the American West. If you have any questions, or are concerned about potential allergens or other ingredients, message the seller. I couldn’t agree more-my vintage bottle was purchased in winter of 1990 in Las Vegas at the mall by my then girlfriend. Everything else is still the same, but it’s missing the magic (and I stress, FOR ME) -which is why I agree with the previous review.

I think I get primarily the bergamot and spices, and it is a very well-rounded spicy fragrance to my nose. Its aroma is so masculine, so eighties, and so captivating, that if you love classics of those memorable times, you will surely succumb to it; on the other hand, if you like modern perfumes, it will repel you, so, you will reject it—It is not for everyone. Another Tuscany OG has a sweetness curry-like, a touch of immortelle that reminds me of Annick Goutal Sables, also the feeling of sandalwood and tobacco. Season-wise, I see this as a daytime frag for any season except winter, unless you live in a mild climate. Here I am, more than grown up, and I wear this with pride and satisfaction, but I do know something: all was not ideal 40 years ago.

the staying power is a thing of beauty and when wearing this scent it will get you at least one smile from an older lady or a MILF! Orange blossom as the floral segment of the chypre pyramid fits cleanly with the citrus top notes, and anise keeps it dry and herbal. To my nose, Tuscany offers a far bigger anise note than does Azzaro, but somehow it is made far smoother. Little touches (like the basil up top that rounds out the sunniness of the lemon, or the cinnamon that cozies up the patch and mossy effects) are notable and underscore this fragrance's complex, 1980s pedigree.

For me, its fragrances like Tuscany Per Uomo, which I thoroughly love to wear regardless as to whether or not it is out of step with the times according to younger noses. Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out. lingophile, just to correct one thing in your review so people don't freak out based on wrong information: IFRA (The International Fragrance Association) recommended and the European Commission imposed a ban (in 2015) on two elements in Oakmoss due to their potential to cause allergic reactions in up to 3% of the population. Sketching the temporal landscape, we see in its topography peaks and valleys, progress and regress, and it's fascinating how fragrance can be a marker to a time that we may romanticize. Aramis Tuscany Per Uomo gets mentioned on several Youtuber reviews of their favorite classic fragrances from the 80's.

Tuscany is a classic Italian-style fougere very similar to Azzaro pour homme, but not of the same depth nor as heavy. Its subtlety belies the depth that reveals itself throughout the day, and more is discovered with subsequent wearings. That "more" here is brighter citruses, lemons and limes that herald the anise and caraway (not cumin as other reviewers suggest) that build upon the brightness with their warmth and texture. the forte is similar to the vintage and of course the current one, but there are some differences regarding the scent. If what you've got is as good as you say, you may have been lucky with your batches "bought years apart" if those years were a bit further back; say 2016, 2017, 2018,.

However, I still wear it on business trips because I like it and she's not around to hold her nose and make that face. Main opening note for me is anise and tarragon (but not the synthetic anisey mess that one reviewer found) with some citrus freshness. I have to say I really enjoy this fragrance because it doesn't open harshly (except maybe the citrus) and it drys down to be more delicate and less butch than some other Aramis offerings, especially the original. Making coq au vin today, completing the preps and decide to hit the shower before the cooking work begins. I think it is pretty versatile, can be worn from casual to business, but due to the zestiness of it I would likely not wear in formal situations. The heart notes propose you also a magnificent neroli/orange blossom that takes over the initial citrus notes. It brings back great memories of unlimited youthful success and the easy times but I wouldn't wear it now despite loving the rich complexity and uniqueness (vintage-maybe the reformation is crap? Its citrus and lavender accord is very crisp and clean, and I love how basil, caraway, and tarragon interact in the heart, forming a grassy herbal freshness around coumarin and anise.
