Is the Aegis x just another empty claim or is it the real deal? I hope to answer this question and more in my review. Tweaking the airflow gave nice results and I found I preferred the airflow half open (or should that be half closed…?). As much as I want to say this device held up really well, and it did. I’m just surprised that the battery door is that much weaker, especially in comparison to the Aegis Legend, and Aegis Solo that I’ve used and abused before.

Pros

The Cerberus Tank has been used by Geekvape for quite a while now, but it’s easy to see why. There’s nothing too fancy or smart about it but it’s a good all rounder for both performance and build quality. If I used a smaller build that needed under 50 watts (like my first single round wire build), I was able to get a warm vape around the 430-440 F range. So, it hits around 10-20 degrees high, which is fine as you can adjust for taste with plenty of wiggle room. It throttles smooth and has good dry hit protection. I get a consistent vape each time, but unless you use a really low-watt MTL build you’ll find that it ramps up pretty slow compared to other mods. And now with the Aegis X, the chipset has been upgraded again to the new AS 2.0. Geekvape says it’s even faster, more accurate, more stable, and has even more precise temperature control. I have no way to test those claims, but I believe them. This chip is amazing. Although the manual touches on the menu settings, it’s a bit vague to say the least and it didn’t come all that easy to me. I would recommend before first use having a good play with the different menus before you fit the tank. Ok, I could go on about changing this and that but I'm sure nothing else reallly needs explaining as it really is an easy navigation system to get used to.

The overall height of the tank, including the low profile 810 drip tip and excluding the 510 threaded connector is 35mm. One point worth mentioning, the 510 threaded connector does have a pretty decent protruding center pin (always handy for those hybrid mods). So, mine? Just an anomaly it seems up to this point and easily taken care of from my end by the application of two layers of duct tape which were then cut to shape around the outside of the latch and battery door. As an index finger firer, it’s just as comfortable though. So no matter how you hold your mod, as long as you can appreciate this is a dual 18650 ‘Indestructible Mod you’re going to enjoy its feel. It’s hard to explain how comfortable the Aegis X is to hold. The Legend was comfortable, but Geekvape has managed to improve upon it. The curved section fits perfectly into your hand and the rubber provides so much grip. The leather pad cushions your thumb joint. Once I started using it my hand just felt lost whenever I put the mod down. It’s a masterclass in ergonomic design.The Zeus sub ohm tank has been designed by Geekvape to provide just as good performance as the RTA of the same name. Using mesh coils to push more flavor and a dense cloud it is the perfect companion for the Aegis X. The Aegis X is a solid, nicely built and well-designed mod. It has the same tactical looks as the rest of the line. It is a little lighter than the Aegis Legend and feels great in the hand. Its size is average for a dual-18650 mod, pretty much the same as the Aegis Legend. The mod features a massive 2.4-inch OLED color screen that nearly covers the entire side of the mod and is very clear and bright.
