The SteelSeries wireless gaming mice are designed for ultimate comfort and built ultra durable for the most elite esports gaming experience. Precise wireless gaming mouse with lag-free latency for accurate shooting That should do it! Remember, do that while holding down the CPI button. 4. Windows should recognize the device now. It's fair to say that the mouse has a steep learning curve. I'm sure that dedicated players will eventually figure out where each button is, and maybe even feel comfortable enough to assign multiple shortcuts to each key. But even after using the Aerox 9 Wireless for a few days, it was harder to play FFXIV with the mouse than without it. Compare and contrast to a mouse like the Razer Naga Pro, which lets you customize the number of buttons on the side panel. SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless review: Verdict

How to Bluetooth Connect a SteelSeries Mouse

The extremely comprehensive button remapping options within the GG software Michael Gariffo Lighting and buttons Our all-new soft microfiber mesh cable reduces drag to hit that crucial shot. The USB-C connection enables you to customize the mouse with aftermarket cable options. The SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless is a difficult mouse to recommend. Its most distinctive feature works against it, while the rest of its features work just fine in simpler, cheaper mice, such as the Aerox 5. For the same price, the Naga Pro is a considerably better wireless MMO mouse, while the Logitech G502 Lightspeed is a considerably better all-purpose wireless gaming mouse. The mouse has dual-connectivity - Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4Ghz wireless using Steelseries Quantum 2.0 wireless technology, which it claims transmits data “faster than ever before”. Of course, there is no tangible way of measuring this but it felt no different from previous Steelseries mice, or even other wireless mice from different manufacturers. Software and Performance

Our mice such as the Aerox 5 Wireless use a powerful system called Quantum 2.0 Wireless, which allows either a 2.4GHz connection or Bluetooth 5.0 for most devices. While we recommend using a dongle for that easy 2.4GHz for lag-free gaming, sometimes you may want to opt for Bluetooth, especially for non-gaming tasks or on your other devices. And that's all you need to know on how to pair your gaming mouse with your PC. The process will be similar to other devices, you just have to initiate the pairing on them first. Underneath the mouse you will find your standard PTFE glides, including a circular one for the sensor. We are not sure if the sensor glide aids in improving performance, but it doesn’t seem to hurt in any way, so it’s a nice indulgence to have. Like its less specialist brother, the Aerox 5 Wireless, this more MMO-oriented candidate is quite a long mouse, meaning it’s really best to be used with a palm grip, as opposed to a claw or fingertip. I’ve always been more of a palm gripper, personally, and the Aerox 9 Wireless felt rather comfortable to use over days of gaming.

The top button on your Aerox is a shortcut for changing the CPI. But! You can also hold it down as the first step to Bluetooth pairing... keep holding it for now. 3. On the underside, slide the notch toward the Bluetooth side (left). Weighing 6g, our battery is 14g lighter than those in other multi-genre mice, while still giving over 180 hours of battery life. Of course, all your configurations will be run through the SteelSeries Swarm software. I have my own gripes about this program; it's a very crowded affair, with a swathe of product ads to wade through before you can easily find your own gear. Still, it's comprehensive and will give tinkerers plenty to play with when fine-tuning their experience. An example of the GG software's convoluted front end from my time with the Aerox 5 Wireless Michael Gariffo -- Steelseries SteelSeries has developed popular wireless gaming mice that are recommended by esports pros and affordable to everyone. A wireless gaming mouse from SteelSeries offers lag-free latency and durability to maximize value for gamers without having to pay top dollar. Ergonomic wireless gaming mice designs for pro gamers
