Description

The sling can be used from newborn up to 33lbs (which is about three years old) so it can definitely grow with your child. That being said, not all wiggly toddlers like to be carried – unless their little legs are tired! I would suggest buying an Amawrap when your baby is young to get them used to the feel of it. If they are used to hearing your heart, being held close facing inwards, then it is more likely that that will be their happy place when they are a bit older. Is the Amawrap worth the money?

A baby sling wrap can be stretchy or sturdy, with one piece of material that you wrap around your body to distribute your baby’s body weight evenly. A baby carrier is a secure and practical way to carry your baby around, but if you're looking for everyday comfort, you may find a baby sling or a baby wrap works best for you and your little one. With so many parents swearing by their baby slings and wraps, we can see why they've become so popular. T = Tight - All carriers should keep your baby close to your chest, preventing them from slumping down into the carrier which can impact their ability to breathe as well as cause discomfort for the parentTHE EASIEST TO WEAR: Thanks to its two adjustable bands, wearing the baby carrier newborn will be very simple. Also, being the baby sling wrap much shorter than the traditional band, will not drop on the ground, so that it stays always clean C = Close enough to kiss - Your baby’s head should be as close to your chin as possible, meaning you can easily kiss their forehead or top of their head just by looking down slightly

Sponsored content “Looking down to find that your baby has fallen asleep on your chest… that’s peace.” Amawrap founder, Shabnam Kwofie, shares the story behind the brand.Catia: This wrap did help me a lot, my son is a baby that wants to be held all the time, so this was a godsend. I put my son on the wrap and he goes to sleep straight away, and it’s so easy to put on and take it off. Also having three children, being hands-free on the school run it’s great. It’s great to do some housework, also I was really amazed that I managed to breastfeed my son while having him wrapped. We also need to make boardrooms more diverse. Look at what Justin Trudeau did when he first went into office. Did you ever see his ministers when he first took office? The Minister of Health was a doctor. Minister of Transport – an astronaut. Minister of National Defence – a Sikh Veteran. Minister of Sport and persons with disabilities – a visually impaired Paralympian. I could go on. 50 per cent of the cabinet were women. This is how you make progress. When these people’s voices are heard, and when these people, with their lived experiences, are shaping policies moving forward, we will see actual change. If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self what would it be? Firstly, the 100% cotton sling was so soft and incredibly lightweight. Having used a similar style sling in the past, I noticed the difference in the quality of the fabric straight away and wondered if it would be strong enough to hold my wiggly 18 month daughter. We went for oyster grey which is a lovely neutral colour to wear with any outfit and which my hubby is happy to wear too. The story of Amawrap
