In short, this is a very, very good display. It’s incredibly bright, very colour accurate and, more than that, it’s a display that even demanding creative professionals should find usable without the need for further calibration. Up to three external displays with up to 6K resolution and one external display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors (M1 Max) It’s not the most elegant of solutions, and Apple hasn’t been clear about why the notch is needed. That’s not the only thing the M1 Max can do better than the M1 Pro. It can support the connection of up to three external 6K displays and a fourth 4K screen, where the M1 Pro can support a “mere” two 6K monitors.
