Description

With any balloon arch, you are going to be blowing up a LOT of balloons. My kit had 96 balloons total, and they filled up a 16 foot length of balloon tape. So if you are wanting a 16 ft arch, you will need that many balloons. If you want a smaller arch, you will need less.

Once you’ve filled your desired length of balloon tape with balloons, cut off the excess balloon tape. Tie fishing wire in loops around the balloon tape in a few places to use to hang up the balloon arch. Start by blowing up an odd number of your 18” balloons first. I usually start with 3. Then arrange them on the balloon tape spaced equally apart. Repeat this process for your 12” balloons. I think I started with 5 of each color. Don’t overthink balloon placement too much. I usually don’t start adjusting until the garland is hung up on the wall. Hang your garlandThere are many supplies for making a balloon arch, and you won’t need all of them for every project. Before I break things down, let’s take a look at the overall supplies list for the balloons portion of your balloon arch: Time to put your piece of balloon art into place! The best way to suspend the balloon garland from the wall or ceiling is to use any kind of structure or fixture that's already in place. Wide Web Slitting The most cost-effective slitting method. Pro Tapes® has eleven wide web slitters. Continue doing this figure-8 wrapping pattern as you add new balloon pairs. Always lay the pairs perpendicular to the pair before it, and always make sure to wrap the string around one of the top balloons and one of the balloons in the pair underneath. To do this, simply wrap the tape around the balloons, making sure to cover the entire surface. Use a strong tape such as duct tape for a better bond. If you are looking for a more decorative option, you can also use a colorful decorative tape. When using tape to glue balloons together, it is important to make sure that the tape is firmly secured. To do this, wrap the tape around each balloon at least three times. This will ensure that the bond is strong and secure. Once you have used the balloon glue or tape to bond the balloons together, you will need to let the balloons dry completely before using them. This will ensure that the bond is strong and will last. With the right supplies and technique, you can easily glue balloons together with tape or balloon glue. How do you hang Christmas Garland with balloon tape?

It offers a strong bond that won’t easily be removed, making it an essential for anyone looking for a secure hold for a balloon. However, the great thing about Glue Dots is that, despite their strong bond, they are still removable. This makes them incredibly convenient and versatile, as they are strong enough to keep balloons in place during a party, but easily removable afterwards. Removing Glue Dots is not a difficult task. All you need to do is to apply a bit of pressure while gently pulling away the adhesive. Carry on by adding in the next largest-sized balloons, again spreading them out evenly, and stop before you add in the smallest balloons. The smallest balloons should be added in to cover any gaps when your balloon arch has been moved into place. Get crafty with a Cricut Some people recommend using a low-heat glue gun instead of glue dots, but even on low heat, you may run the risk of ruining or popping some of your balloons. Glue dots are easier and safer to work with.To attach the balloons to the tape, put the knot of the balloon into the large hole, then slide it over into the smaller hole to secure. The second best way is to use removable command hooks (but be aware that these might do some damage to the wall, even though they are supposed not to). Take your first inflated balloon, pinch its lip together and pull the knot through the first hole (remember to leave about 12" of the strip empty). The holes are large enough to let you pull the knot through, but small enough to keep the balloon in place. I’ll go into more detail on how to add the balloons to your new balloon arch frame below in the section How to Make A Balloon Arch Outside.
