Claire. Oh my gosh. The scene where Shannon’s telling Claire about the first kiss she had with Johnny had me giggling so much. The narrator really captured her enthusiasm and character 🤣. She’s the friend Shannon needed to have by her side at all times. If only Claire had been with her at the other school, then the bullying probably wouldn’t have ever happened ☹️ I had to fight the smile threatening to break free when Johnny stopped at the top of the staircase to scoop up Sookie and then proceeded to carry the huge, 80lb minimum Labrador down the stairs like she was a baby cradled in his arms. OK here is the deal: I read these two books in a row while I had several ARCs to read and much awaited books coming in my mailbox. He def has an easy life: he has the money, the status, the rugby, a loving family, girls, good grades...Johnny has been focused, single minded really about rugby for years and years. He is the overachiever. He has a big goal: play for Ireland. He has made his body a well-oiled machine. Feeding several times a day with healthy meals. Training all the time. No going out. No living like a normal teenager.

I love that everyone will get their own book. I especially can’t wait for Joey&Aofie and Claire&King Clit. That’s so unusual for contemporary NA romances! You find these big books in Fantasy like Sarah J Maas and Cassandra Clare but not contemporary.But when you root more for the side characters for more than 90% of the novel, idfk what to think about it- Johnny’s protectiveness. Ermagod🥰. This guy is soooo protective that I could label him a momma bear🤷🏻♀️ and he doesn’t even have kids 🤣. Who needs a mom like Shannon’s POS one when she has Johnny by her side 👏🏻. He’s willing to fight her battles and go to war. The dedication to making sure she’s okay is more consistent than the oxygen we all breathe. Gawd. I. Just. Love. Him 😭 I would like to dedicate Binding 13 to anyone who's ever had a dream they dared to chase with insatiable hunger and drive. The only criticism I have for this book (hence the 4.75 ★ and not 5 ★) is that I’ve been missing the some of these characters and friendship so much in this book.. yk like Johnny and Gibsie, Gibsie and Claire, or Mammy K and Johnny/Gibsie etc.) I know it makes sense that these characters wouldn’t appear in this book since Saving 6 takes place before Binding 13, we actually meet all these characters in B13 and K13, but I was still missing them and all the wholesome relationships. 😩
