About this deal

In terms of maintenance, the Strider T600 is pretty easy to live with. It has a built in oil dispenser that keep all of the internal components perfectly lubricated and this will just need topping up once a year or so. The F30 XTI comes with built-in speakers and has USB and aux connections to play your music through. The quality of the speakers are pretty much in line with other treadmills which means they are acceptable but nothing special. Here you also get the MP3, USB, SD card slot holder and there are the additional 3 separate incline settings to allow for harder and more difficult workouts. You also get the pulse sensors and the speed controls on your arms included of course the tablet or phone holder.

Though there is clearly some stress reducing suspension on the T600 model, the T900 model takes this to a new level and we felt a marked improvement in the way the suspensions performed on this version. It is not too bouncy, nor too firm, and you can without a doubt feel the difference when compared to running on hard outdoor surfaces such as tarmac. If you're a bit budget-conscious and looking for a cheap treadmill that does what it says on the tin, then the Citysports Treadmill is a great affordable option with all the basics you'll need to get started. If you wish to run faster than 6 km/hr or you need to have pre-set programmes, then skip to the models outlined further below.

Only 12 pre-set programmes are provided where more advanced consoles we see offer a lot more than just 12 which is not all that bad at for the price level it tends to be available for.The centre console is impressive to look at. It displays all the data you need as well as your heart rate, which is measured by the pulse rate sensors that are conveniently located just below the centre console which is slightly different to the other BodyTrain models. We found the heart rate sensor readouts to be pretty much in line with our Whoop band and Polar heart rate monitors, which was pleasing to see. If space is an issue for you, this treadmill can also be folded away in an upright position to save space and there are also the handy transport wheels which helps with mobility around your home from room to room. It is heavier but it also has the soft drop and lift mechanism to help you. Overall, this treadmill performs quite well and provided good value for money from our experience.

This machine is the heaviest of all those we tested at 80kg but is still easy to move around thanks to its storage wheels and is fully foldable for ease of storage. Verdict Any treadmill you're considering buying should have a built-in auto stop safety system. This often takes the form of a magnetic safety key that attaches to the treadmill on one end and your clothing on the other. There is also the incline setting of 15% included, the pulse sensors on the handlebars, the 3.5mm MP3 input device and of course the holder for you tablet or phone. The other main limitation of this treadmill is the maximum speed which is just 6KM/h. So there is no sprinting on this treadmill and brisk walking is going to be the limit for most people. For this reason, we would only really recommend the BodyTrain BPM for anyone who is very early on in their cardio fitness journey or for anyone who simply wants a treadmill to increase their step count. This review for the BodyTrain treadmills will cover 2 models in detail that offer the lowest possible price and then we will also briefly outline the main features from 3 further models under this brand which cost slightly more than the initial 2 models as they may be of interest to you also if you have additional money to spend at your disposal. All in all, the BodyTrain Stride Master is an excellent budget treadmill that does the basics really well and is comfortable to use. In conclusion, this is a great treadmill for anyone who wants to use a treadmill for brisk walking without paying a fortune for extra features that aren’t needed. The top speed of this machine is 16KPH which should more than suffice for all but the most elite of users – and as far as casual home cardio goes then this model is more than up to the task. The frame itself is not the most sturdy, but as you won’t be running you shouldn’t need it other than to take your pulse rate. There is a convenient tablet/phone holder above the display which is ideal for playing music or a tv show while you increase your steps.
