About this deal

However it, is not without problems either. The standard angles cannot be corrected, so if your miter slot is not exactly at 90 degrees, there is no official way to correct for this. Personally I found a basic DIY fix with duct tape on my TS 254 M, which has the same miter gauge. But it is a clear limitation. Metabo sliding table Conclusion: All three saws offer similar build quality, and there is no clear winner. DeWalt does have a higher quality fence. Conclusion: Bosch vs DeWalt vs Metabo Overall, I can’t say that one of these three table saws has a higher build quality than the others. Simply because they are cost about the same, they also can offer about the same build quality. The DeWalt’s fence might outlast the other two a little, but other than that I would say they are all evenly matched.

The Bosch GTS 10 XC has the best miter gauge out of the box, but it has its problems and might require some DIY fix to work properly. But given that it also increases the saw’s weight and size, I would actually recommend the Metabo’s miter gauge over the Bosch. Keep in mind though that the Metabo also has its own flaws. Some users report issues with the fence, such as flex, and its fence is generally not as good as that of its direct competitor, the DeWalt DWE7492. The fence is secured only on the front, and can go a bit out of square at the far end where it is not secured. It is difficult to say whether this means the Metabo has lower build quality overall, or it was just a one-off. Since I haven’t seen any other major complaints about the TS 254, I assume it isn’t a systematic problem with the saw. Conclusion: Who has the best build quality? There are a few small differences, however. The GTS 10 XC is more massive and bulky than the others. As such it is less likely to be moved around, and simply because of that probably expected to outlive the other two saws. But that is more because of how it is used than its actual build quality. The Bosch GTS10XC Professional Table Saw powerful 1650 watt motor with motor brake, starting current limitation, overload protection and Constant Electronic for the toughest applications. One of the highest quality portable table saws available on the market. Due to the intergrated slide carriage as well as a table widener and table extension it is also one of the most versatile. The powerful motor and constant speed featured produce the best results even in the toughest of applications. Features and Benefits:

The DWE7492 on the other hand can extend its table to up to 825 mm. This is significantly wider than the other two saws, thanks to its clever fence system that can flip over and make extra space. The GTS 10 XC is also popular with many home woodworkers, because it is relatively powerful, not too big, and reasonably priced. Bosch unfortunately does not currently offer a table saw with sliding table in North America. The three saws differ probably the most in terms of their form factor. The GTS 10 XC has the sliding table, the Metabo TS 254 has an integrated stand, and the DWE7492 has a really wide extension table. I’ll compare all three in terms of capacity/size, power and mobility. Capacity Cutting height Powerful motor – With 2100 W in your hands, you will be able to cut the light even the toughest of materials like wood, metal, steel, and more. Self-adjusting parallel guide – This feature was added to ensure that you have more precise cuts every time you use it.

Conclusion: The Metabo TS 254 has the better miter gauge, especially if you get the sliding table. But if you DIY fix the Bosch, or get an aftermarket gauge for the DeWalt, those will work well too. Size, Power, and MobilityAffordable – For all the features this Bosch saw has, one would think the market asking price is very high. This is one of those tools that clearly define, value for money. You get more than you pay for thanks to the sliding table that gives you plenty of room to cut materials that are longer with ease. Also, for a sliding table it is still on the small side, limiting its advantage over a regular miter gauge. Additionally, it takes up space and weight which makes the GTS 10 XC as a whole less mobile. All in all, it’s an interesting feature that simply doesn’t work out as well in practice. Metabo and DeWalt miter gauges

Lightweight – You would think that table saws are very heavy products but that’s not the case with this one. This tool is super lightweight and you can move it around with ease. You can also use this for hours without suffering from any strains or tiredness. Some projects require you to invest plenty of time in and with this tool, you can be able to do them in a single session without setting them to the side and finishing them off later on. It is honestly difficult to say whether one of these saws has an overall better build quality than the others. They are similarly priced and therefore use similar quality materials, and I expect them all to last about equally long. GTS 10 XC Build Quality

Versatile – The GTS 10 XC is one of the most versatile tools you can buy due to the integrated slide carriage which gives you more workout room. Versatility is also thanks to the table and extension as a table widener. If you are willing to spend another €100, the TS 254′s sliding table is actually the best option of them all, because it can be finely adjusted and works accurately without any clear problems. Cutting depth – This GTS 10 XC saw gives you a cutting height of up to 79 mm, cutting capacities of up to 635 mm to the right and 250 mm to the left of this incredibly made saw. A versatile table saw with a powerful 2100Watt motor and motor brake. It features starting current limitation, overload protection and constant electronic for the toughest of applications. It is incredibly versatile due to its integrated slide carriage, table widener and table extension. Concealed cuts are a breeze with the tool-free lowering riving knife. It has a self-adjusting parallel guide for precise cuts and cutting heights up to 79mm. Cutting capacities of up to 635mm to the right and 250mm to the left of the saw blade.
