Since I haven’t seen any other major complaints about the TS 254, I assume it isn’t a systematic problem with the saw. Additionally, it takes up space and weight which makes the GTS 10 XC as a whole less mobile. All in all, it’s an interesting feature that simply doesn’t work out as well in practice.
