Description

The Categories game, also known as “Stop the Bus!” is really fun! Your child will need to be old enough to write answers down, and we have made a free printable game sheet that you can use, or you can very easily make your own. You get three bus tokens, and you only lose bus tokens if you are last in the round. So the most important thing in this card game is to make sure that you are not last because the last player loses a token. Carry on with different people reciting the alphabet and shouting stop, for as long as you like or until the paper runs out and then everyone tots up their scores. Take it Further Once you land on a space, you'll notice it has a number on it. Work out what number you'd have to add to it to make 10, and that's your first number bond. See what answers people have written down. A unique answer earns 2 points, an answer others have got earns 1 point and no answer means no points.

Categories on our game sheet include Girl’s Name, Boy’s Name, Food/Drink, Animal, Place (e.g. Country or City), Colour. Each sheet has some categories already chosen and then there are spaces for you to add your own. There’s a space to put the letter for each round as well as scoring boxes. Play the lead role as an adventurous and headstrong young goat named Billie on a quest to follow in her long-lost father’s hoofsteps and reclaim a powerful magic. Alongside your mystic axolotl mentor Aristotle and playable pet fox Oscar, you’ll explore strange realms, take on showstopping villains with their own unforgettable songs, master incredible magical powers, and discover a darkly fantastic world where skillful gameplay and memorable music are harmoniously intertwined. Create an imaginary bus by laying the two ropes on the ground and in a parallel formation. The ropes should be about 10 – You can use this addition maths game with whole classes or small groups of EYFS or KS1 children on an interactive whiteboard. It can be used with individual children on a tablet. Go on a space adventure and explore adding more using this fun maths game!

This number bonds game has several fantastic benefits when it comes to building a solid foundation for children to develop their numeracy and maths skills. As a group decide on seven categories for the columns. They can be any categories, as long as there are a good number of possible things that fit in each one. For example: food, colours, trees, countries, body parts, etc… The choosing is part of the fun. How to Play Bus Stop Playing Bus Stop is both fun and addictive. Billie can collect pixel shards scattered throughout the game. These abilities range from time-bending pixel dashes to pixel bombs that can clear entire screens of enemies in a burst of colorful explosions. The customization options are endless, allowing players to tailor Billie Bust Up’s abilities to suit their playstyle. Who can be found here?Arthur, a kind-hearted creature with a penchant for magic, assists Billie on her journey with his enchanting spells and mystical abilities. Set a timer for e.g. 3 minutes (alternatively, if you have younger kids you can wait for them to complete their categories).

Each person then has to fill out answers on their sheet for each category, starting with the chosen letter. For example, if the chosen letter is L, you could choose Laura, Liam, Lemon, Llama, London, and Lavender for your answers.

If it gets too difficult with certain letters (and you can’t think of one for each category) reduce the amount of words they have to get. You can say, 'OK, for this round you can Stop the Bus with four columns.' Billie, the gameplay protagonist, is a resourceful and determined young adventurer.
