About this deal

When Nebula is planning a full-scale assault on Planet Z, home to Emperor Zurg, Mira proposes an alternate plan. The plan called for a single ranger to slip past Zurg's defenses in the Alpha One, a small prototypical spacecraft. Though Buzz agrees, the plan is laughed off by Nebula, who accuses the two of being show-offs. Later on, Buzz and Mira both attempt to steal the ship, but Mira is successful, due to the usage of her mental powers. She flies off, pursued by Buzz in his spacecraft. Ghosting Limitations: While Ghosting is one of her greatest strengths, it also has several limitations, as she often needs concentration to Ghost, and extremely loud noises can interrupt her focus. As seen in the episode " Clone Rangers", we learn that Mira's weakness as a kid is that she can't use her powers of ghosting too much (i.e. repeated use of ghosting), or she'll lose energy. As seen in the episode " A Zoo Out There", certain materials like 'Tefloid-14' are immune to being phased through, meaning Mira and other Tangean Royals cannot ghost through the substance. Telepathy: As a Tangean she possesses several telepathic abilities. She can also read/search, control, and presumably plant ideas into people's minds by forcing her intangible hand into their brains in a technique called the Tangean Brain Squeeze, a process the recipients often describe as physically disgusting. Mira can freely read minds when she goes inside of a person. She can also erase and control the minds or memories of others and even change the phase-minds of people. However, when she reads minds, it renders people unconscious. The first and last time she ever "mind-controlled" someone was when she made a Valkyran guard leave her and Buzz alone and prevent her from sounding an alarm. Mira is a young female Tangean Royal with long red hair, streaked with a paler reddish-orange, and a typical blue complexion. She has large blue eyes and a shapely form. Power Ghosting: While phasing through energy sources amplifies her abilities, this can be highly addictive and even deadly if done too many times. While in the Power Ghosting state, Mira became more hyper and impulsive. After losing power for Power Ghosting, she'll be very worn out and weakened. According to her father, this state will still affect her even after she doesn't absorb energy.

Warp is a blue humanoid alien who has periwinkle skin and navy blue hair that he keeps cropped short, flanked by sideburns. Mira is voiced by Nicole Sullivan, who would go on to voice the villain Shego in Disney's Kim Possible animated series. Evans tweeted his excitement about being a part of Lightyear, saying, “I’m covered in goosebumps.” Same, babe. Same.

This, of course, means that Tim Allen will not be voicing Buzz Lightyear as he did in the Toy Story movies. While Disney hasn’t yet explained the casting choice, nor do I think it ever will, some have speculated it may have something to do with Allen’s conservative political views. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that, in 2017, Allen said being a conservative in modern-day Hollywood is comparable to living in Nazi Germany. Hmmm … moving on!

Being a princess, Mira is heir to Throne of Tangea. She became a space ranger against her father's wishes because she was inspired by how Star Command saved her planet. Her race is very aristocratic, something she dislikes. Tangea is home to two classes of people, Grounders, who live on the surface, and Mira's race, who lives in the sky and looks down upon the Grounders, both literally and figuratively. Mira Nova went against the royal family by dating a Grounder one year before she enlisted in Star Command, and also makes it clear that as a future leader of Tangea she wishes to stop the treatment of Grounders as outsiders. Unlike many females in the series, Mira Nova is one of the few women not dazzled by the bravado of Buzz Lightyear and can work with him as an equal partner. Wha? Is he kidding, that's craz-! Oh, oh, and about that incident on the playground in the third grade? (she hisses) Yeah, gotta let it go." Lest you balk at the idea of a hot Buzz Lightyear — which is rude as the OG Buzz Lightyear is also handsome in his own right — the person voicing our space-bound prince is none other than Chris “guard that pussy” Evans. If Chris Evans is involved, the project is horny. Thus the new Buzz Lightyear is gonna be a little freaky. Sorry, I do not make the rules.

He then sent Agent Z out to the home planet of the LGMs to steal the Uni-Mind, the mystical orb that links all the LGMs together. Buzz and his new robot partner XR arrived on the scene, but with Agent Z's knowledge of Buzz's fighting style and moves, he easily escaped with the Uni-Mind. Warp's arm also has a storage system built into it, which has been shown to contain at least one type of sidearm and a plasma charge. When needed, a hatch can open on his arm and the desired items can be dispensed. Warp's arm has been shown to contain at least 2 blaster pistols and a plasma charge but it is highly likely that his arm contains a larger number and variety of items since, when Buzz asked if he could borrow a plasma charge, Warp was able to provide him with one even though such a device or Warp's ability to produce one had yet to be seen, indicating that Buzz had witnessed Warp produce and use one in the past during an unlisted encounter. Warp's species is never identified throughout the series. It was revealed in “ Devolutionaries" that Warp's species evolved similar to human beings, with his de-evolved state appearing brutish and caveman-ish.

Warp was trained to be a Space Ranger at the academy alongside Buzz Lightyear, and the two developed a strong though competitive friendship. They worked well together and became a top-notch team as partners and friends. Secretly however, Warp had begun accepting bribes from Emperor Zurg to act as his double agent within Star Command, secretly acting against them for years. From an early age, Warp was evidently the type of person to stoop to any means necessary to achieve his goals. He was not above cheating or stealing to get his way, but was not above giving into cowardice when the odds were against him.

‘That’s my son’s custom Buzz Lightyear!’

Very little is known about Warp’s past, when he became a Junior Space Ranger, or when he signed up for the Space Ranger Academy. Later, Buzz (having escaped from Zurg's Uni-Mind ray) infiltrated Planet Z, attempting to confront the evil emperor himself. However, Agent Z appeared and ambushed him before being overpowered by the space ranger. Warp is then forced to reveal himself to Buzz, explaining that he had been working for Zurg long since their days at the Academy. With Buzz hopelessly cornered, Warp was eager to have his former partner work alongside him (against the space ranger's will). However, Warp became surprised when Team Lightyear appeared, thwarting him and foiling his plot. Buzz Lightyear • Mira Nova • Booster Munchapper • XR • Commander Nebula • LGMs • Ty Parsec • Emperor Zurg • Grubs • Brain Pods • Hornets • Warp Darkmatter • Gravitina • NOS-4-A2 • Wirewolf • XL • Varg • Torque • King Nova • Dr. Ozma Furbanna • Sally • Spyro Lepton • Bonnie Lepton • Evil Buzz Lightyear • Shiv Katall As a space ranger, she is skilled in hand to hand combat, and she can also make use of her suits abilities, such as its wrist laser. She is one of the only rangers shown to have white shoulder pads instead of green, as even the other female rangers have green shoulder pads. She is the only Space Ranger to wear a green head cowl, as opposed to a purple one or foregoing one at all.
