Best Assetto Corsa Competizione Settings for Logitech G29 / G920 December 26, 2021 | Filed under: Logitech I have previously written a guide for the original Assetto Corsa showing how to calibrate your wheel. In this guide, I will do the same for Assetto Corsa Competizione, showing how easy it is to calibrate your wheel and improve the driving feel on these cheaper wheels. First off, it is recommended to run a maximum of 85% Gain as anything over this will suffer from clipping at higher speeds. Elsewhere, the Minimum Forces slider increases low- end gain for more response. A 10% increase here feels good in slow turns. Some may like Damper settings, but we are n't on that list. So for the Dynamic Damper, we recommend dropping to 0%. Finally for the FFB settings, Road Effects is a personal preference situation but we like 50%. If you want more or less of the road surface feel and vibration, raise or lower the figure accordingly. The Clubsport SQ V1.5 is Fanatec’s shifter offering. It is compatible with all Fanatec wheelbases as well as other racing wheels such as the Logitech G920 and the Thrustmaster TX with the Clubsport USB adapter. It can be used with essentially any shifter supported platform for both PC and console. A lot of things influence tire pressures, air temperatures being the main thing. This temperature varies wildly per server, so you have to change the tire pressures accordingly if you don’t want to overheat your tires. Go out for a few (3 advised) laps and see what the pressures turn out to be. You should aim for ~27.7 PSI. Anything within 27-28 PSI is good, but ideally, you want to be as close to 28 without going over to maximise performance. Tire pressures are a vital part of understanding how tire pressures influence your performance. The general rule of thumb is 0.1 psi change per 1c change in ambient temperature Traction ControlMore (and consistent) frames per second equate to a better learning experience in a game like this. If you notice that your performance is fluctuating, don’t be too proud and just turn on v-sync. Smoothness is key. However, V-sync will introduce a small amount of delay into the system so try both on and off to see what you prefer. ACC Control Settings A LUT (Look Up Table) is a file created by a wheel calibration tool. A series of tests is run that sends a certain force to the wheel and measures how far the wheel actually moves. This data gets recorded in a LUT file. A simulator like Assetto Corsa can use that data to send a calibrated force to the wheel to make it move the intended amount based on the physics simulation. Without the LUT, most forces will either be too strong or too weak, depending on the wheel mechanism and not accurate to the simulation.
Minimum force is rather self-explanatory as this setting is intended for wheelbases that have weaker FFB and a dead zone at the centre of the wheel. Wheelbases that are entry-level typically benefit more from this setting than other enthusiast-focused units. Road Effects Although Qualifying is about solo performance be aware of your surroundings, and use your mini-map to judge whether people on a fast lap are close when exiting the pits. If you get blue flags during qualifying, that means someone on a timed lap is approaching you. Please let them pass your car. Also, when starting a flying lap yourself, make sure there is about a 2-3 second gap between you and the person in front to make sure you don’t hinder each other. This point is more or less for the console sim racers. You may have spent your time and energy creating your sim racing set up from just one particular brand or for a specific type but compatibility matters. This isn’t of any concern for PC racers as PC hardware is very versatile in mixing and matching devices. However, if you are racing on consoles, issues may arise. Since this game intensively uses your PC’s resources, you might need to fine-tune your graphics settings. CPUs can be a slightly different story due to the large range of offerings, but a good starting point is the 9900k offerings from intel or any of the 5000 offerings from AMD. In addition, the load cell brake, capable of handling 90 kilograms, can be adjusted to give you the firm feel of a formula car – such as the Dallara SF19 – or the progressive feel of a road car pedal like the all-new Nissan Z. Now that we know our steering wheel will work with Assetto Corsa Competizione, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of things: the settings.
A major factor to keep in mind is therefore to determine if a pedal set is compatible with a console because your pedals must be plugged directly into the wheel base only for them to work. Yes it is. The G29 & G920 are compatible wih pretty much any racing game on the market including Assetto Corsa Competizione. This sequential shifter comes with three different types of levels and gear knobs. The user has the option to choose from a straight 30mm lever or a bent or curved 50mm lever and one of three different shapes of the gear knob.
