But it is a very dark and noble rose. More and more the vanilla comes to the fore, which combines with the almond and the cherry.

In summary, Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP opens as a sweet syrupy cherry aroma, with accommodating almond and spices. It then dries down to a subdued version of the opening but with added leather, incense, and tonka bean. This fragrance leans masculine, but only slightly. From my testing Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP performance is moderate. It sustains projection out from the skin for the first 2 hours. Then it lasts 7 hours more as an intimate scent bubble and skin scent.I really love the Guerlain brand, and the Ideal line is a very consistent range of solid scents that have good performance and gather compliments easily. The middle of the scent becomes a bit musky and darker, as the leather makes its presence known and really takes this one off the charts. This isn't a dirty, dark leather. Its a sensual, clean, high quality leather note that is very appealing to the ladies. The base is all vanilla and leather, with a hint of cherry lingering around. Its quite lovely.

The L'Homme Ideal range from Guerlain now includes 6 fragrances. Starting with the EDT, this was followed by EdP, L'Intense, Cool, Sport and Cologne. A great row that gets along justly well here.
