Probably London's most famous Christmas tree, the Trafalgar Square spruce is a gift from Norway each year. The lights are arranged in vertical strings in a traditional Norwegian style. It's not to everyone's taste, but it wouldn't be Christmas in London without it. The lights are looking particularly golden this year, too. Waterloo station Photo: Londonist Alongside the tree is a QR code, which visitors can scan to learn more about Refuge's work supporting victims of domestic abuse. Trafalgar Square Photo: Londonist New for 2022 is the Christmas tree at Battersea Power Station, which itself opened to the public as a shopping centre in October. This classic-looking tree can be found outside the southern end of the building, towering up over two levels, and making for a satisfyingly symmetrical photo opportunity between two of the power station's iconic chimneys: Photo: Londonist Glide ice rink at Battersea Photo: Londonist Light festival Christmas at Kew is an absolute joy to behold, and that includes the trail's Christmas tree, an LED installation which can be found towards the end of the route, right before the grand finale. It changes colour, showcases different patterns, and offers a 'Merry Christmas' message in a sequence lasting a couple of minutes. See it in action on this Christmas at Kew 2022 video. Haribo will focus on Decorating Day during its 2022 Christmas Campaign, encouraging families throughout the country to come together and have some fun on #DecoratingDay when they choose to decorate their home and put up the Christmas tree. The study found more than a third (37%) say blunders happen because there is too much to think about – and consequently, 31% find it a stressful time of the year. When something goes wrong and people need to remember what Christmas time is all about, 37% spend time with friends and family, while 24% enjoy a sweet treat, according to the OnePoll research. Head to Tower Green within the Tower of London to spot this 22ft Christmas tree, 'guarded' by 12 wooden Beefeater cutouts. That's not the only festive spruce in the fortress this year — a smaller one can be found near the entrance, surrounded by three lions, representing those given as a gift to King Henry III. It's part of a 12 Days of Christmas themed trail around the Tower, which also includes nine wreaths representing rowdy ravens, and five gold coins, reflecting the history of the Royal Mint at the Tower. Festive and historic? We love it. Hampton Court Palace Photo: Londonist

Harriet Hogge, Marketing Manager at HARIBO UK and Ireland, comments: “A recent survey that we commissioned, found that more than 50 percent of Brits enjoy the countdown to Christmas more than the day itself. We agree and want to create as many special moments until the big day as possible! Harriet Hogge, Marketing Manager at HARIBO UK and Ireland, comments: “A recent survey that we commissioned, found that more than 50 percent of Brits enjoy the countdown to Christmas more than the day itself. So we want to create as many special moments until the big day as possible! Haribo sent us a lovely gift box filled with pyjamas, sweets, and some baubles to fill for the tree to celebrate #decoratingday. It is always such a special time decorating the house ready for Christmas. It’s even better when you have some nice new pyjamas to wear and some sweets to nibble on when you do it. I think the Haribo pyjama bottoms are my new favourite pair to wear! They are covered with Haribo sweet pictures (bears, hearts, strawberries, cherries, rings and jelly babies) so look proper cool.
