About this deal

The battery can provide up to 6 hours operating time per the manufacturer instructions. If necessary, the battery can always be replaced, a great advantage to other mobile hotspots with a fixed battery. A Mifi or portable mobile hotspot is a device that works much like a smartphone. You insert a sim card into the MiFi device and it connects to a nearby 4G network. If there’s no 4G then it will automatically switch to 3G. Now in itself, the MiFi unit is no different from a smartphone in that respect, however, the real benefit comes from connecting an external antenna to the MiFi device. LTE: 150 Mbit/s down, 50Mbit/s up * UMTS: 42.2 Mbit/s down, 5.76 Mbit/s up (when using DC-HSPA+) * GSM: 384 kbit/s (when using EDGE )

To sign up for the activity, xxxxx energy will be taken from your account (current energy: xxxxxx). Continue? I would suggest it is not worth having the antenna. Placing the mifi unit in a rooflight is often quite effective as is placing it against a window in the direction of the nearest cell mast. If the caravan is aluminium bodied then it is close to being a Faraday Cage so the mifi outside is a good idea. Place it in the car next to the caravan again in a position such that it gets a decent signal from the phone system and a laptop or similar will work inside the caravan quite well - range is 10-15ft in most applications. The Huawei E5577 supplies up to 10 devices simultaneously via WLAN with an Internet connection. Extra one unit can also be connected via USB, so the router can also be used on computers without a WLAN. The E5577C will support both 2.4 GHz wireless and the area around 5 GHz. However, the latest wireless standard AC is not integrated with Huawei E5577C. An interesting feature is a wireless repeater, referred to as Huawei WiFi Extender or WiFi Offload. Thus, the E5577C use an existing Internet connection via WLAN as access. Il est pénible de commander un produit dont la photo et la description impliquent la possibilité d'utiliser une antenne extérieure Mimo (2 x SMA).

The user installation instruction sheet briefly explains how to mount the antenna using the 3 different methods. There are no other instructions or details outlining how to use the antenna.

straight away the signal went from 3G to a 2 bar 4G signal. I tried repositioning the antenna several times but couldn’t improve upon the 2 bar 4G signal. Maximum size for each attachment is 10MB (rar, jpg, zip, pdf, war, txt, docx, doc, png, mp3, mp4, xls, xlsx, gif, jpeg are supported). The WLAN data transfer rate is up to 150 Mbit/s, which should be sufficient for most basic internet use. However, it does not have an Ethernet LAN interface, which means that wired connections are not possible. The Ethernet LAN interface type is not available.Das WLAN Signal ist etwas stärker als bei dem E5576 ist aber mit einem WLAN Signal eines DSL Routers nicht zu vergleichen. Durch zwei Räume geht es noch mit ach und Krach. After a lot of research, I’ve now got a much better understanding of the problem. This has led me to what I believe is the ideal solution for us and our issue. I know that we can’t be the only ones who have a problem getting internet in a campervan, so I’ve decided to share what I’ve learned. The left SMA female connector (shown above) on the cable adaptor screws directly into the XPOL-A0001 antenna’s SMA male connector (shown below). OK then, what I’ll do now is review one item at a time, and then do an overall review of the complete 4G mobile broadband set up. All in all, I am very pleased with my 4G mobile campervan WiFi setup and would recommend it. You may not need it everywhere you go, but you’ll be glad you’ve got it with you for the times that you can’t get a signal on your phone that you can tether to.

You can connect to the router interface by wireless. Allows you display usage stats, and even send SMS texts. Add a micro SD card for shared disc storage. One of the key features of the Huawei E5577Cs-321 is its portability. With its compact and lightweight design, it is easy to carry and can be used anywhere, making it an ideal choice for travelers or those who require internet connectivity on-the-go.Unfortunately, there is no way for the Huawei E5577C set to a specific network technology. The only option is the use of LTE-on and to turn off. Compared to several other mobile hotspots, this is a big disadvantage. Easy setup - insert SIM (full size SIM only) and battery. Plug-in to computer with supplied USB lead to charge battery and switch on using the button on the front. It may take a minute or two to connect to the mobile phone network. Then you can watch it (lcd display on front of unit) working its way up the spectrum - 2G, 3G and then 4G (if available in your location). I don't know about battery life (others have said 4-6 hours) as I use the supplied mains-USB adapter and supplied USB cable, and leave it as mains-powered. As we have another trip planned soon, I decided I needed to solve the campervan WiFi problem once and for all…

Huawei E5577C supports LTE by category 4 with up to 150 MBit/s in the downlink and 50 Mbit/s in the uplink. Actually, LTE Cat4 is not the latest new technology. Here now there is LTE Category 6 mobile hotspot Huawei E5786 available. But new technology means user need pay more money to enjoy it. For most users, the LTE Cat4 modem in E5577C will provide sufficient speeds and in testing, it can achieve top speeds of up to 140 Mbit/s. In the UMTS network the data accelerator DC-HSPA+ is of course supported, so here theoretically up to 42.2 Mbit/s can be achieved in the downlink. In practice, you should reach the speed of no more than 32 Mbit/s. The antenna will boost the 3G and 4G performance by up to 5 times. This could mean the difference between getting a signal or not. Even if a mobile provider says that there is no coverage in a particular area (they mean when just using a phone) you could still receive a reasonable internet connection using an external antenna connected to a MiFi device. However, I did run a couple of tests so I could compare my MiFi equipment to just using a mobile phone, and the results were very surprising. To be honest, at first I did find all the talk of directional, omni-directional, gain, MiMo, etc. a bit confusing. But I think I’ve finally got my head around it… Directional antenna: Not a lot really. (That’s what I’ve found anyway). There are products on the market that promise to boost the signal strength but I couldn’t find one that I thought was worth buying. Most seemed to promise more than they could actually deliver. Even if they did improve the signal, you would still need to go outside of your campervan to get the benefits.
