As it dries down, I get more violet leaf, less of the marine notes, and the intro of the guaiac wood. It definitely grows into a woodier fragrance, with a slight outdoorsy dirtiness to it. The oud isn’t super powerful, but you’ll notice it, when putting your nose close to the skin.

As with all fragrances, it depends on your preferences and on your personal body chemistry. Try Invictus if you’re looking for a sporty scent. Conclusion The dry-down is a rich combination of salty/musky ambergris infused with warming amberwood that cranks up the confident-mature-male dial but keeps the mass-appeal. It has an almost "alcoholic" freshness, which I think comes from the grapefruit (previously "grapefruit peel"), as well as the stronger focus on the violet leaf.Projection wise, it’s not super heavy or anything. Being a spring/summer fragrance the sillage is going to be lighter, but I’d say it’s fairly strong for an aquatic. It won’t go unnoticed. But it has grown in me, and Meanwhile I wear so some of it gladly. (The normal EdT, but prefer Intense or just Aqua). Through the notes he gets a slightly youthful feel, which makes you feel really refreshed and sporty when wearing it. I would say he seems fresher and looser than IA 2016, which is neither good nor bad, but on some days I find exactly that simply refreshing. Invictus Legend opens with a bold burst of grapefruit, aquatic notes, and amber. Sweet, citrus with notes of the oceanic lead into spicier/woodier undertones. Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend

Refreshingly salty marine notes dominate this fragrance’s heart, supported by powdery violet that adds lift. Also launched in 2016 was Invictus Intense , which turns up the volume on its older brother in a bolder, more intense, and spicier way. Paco Rabanne Invictus Intense Upon dry-down, sweet yet slightly musky ambergris, warm resin and wood add a welcome layer of male confidence. You have to admire this fragrance, it does not put a foot wrong. There is even a hint of musky patchouli, but not overly strong. The longevity of Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua is moderate at best. I wouldn’t call this a strong performing scent and would question anyone who did! Other guys, who want a well performing and versatile warm weather cologne, Invictus Aqua is an option that should strongly be considered. The yuzu note is great, as is the pink pepper.

Its top notes include energetic hints of yuzu, grapefruit, and pink pepper, but deeper, middle notes of seawater and violet leaf soon come to the fore. Not overall amazing, but a nice all around fragrance. I love the yuzu, the oud isn’t too bothersome, but the end is just to marine for my taste. When it is covered by other notes, it works better. This is pretty much an any-season except the hottest days of summer as its just a little too sweet for hot daywear. Can be worn for casual days or formal evenings, and everything in-between. Overall, I believe Invictus Aqua is reasonably versatile. It’s best worn in summer but can be worn year-round if desired. That’s attributable to the woody, floral, and musky dry down which is appropriate across seasons.

This is a strong cologne, so we recommend you spray sparingly. Its longevity is good, so you can expect it to keep working from 8-10 hours, as you move from day into your later hours club scene. The grapefruit and salty marine notes stand out the most initially. As this lotion dries on your skin, you can then get the woods, ambergris, patchouli. Not much jasmine in this version, it’s more fresh and woody/spicy. The Invictus fragrance line-up offers bold, crowd-pleasing options which represent a battle (or perhaps we should say clever balance) between citrus freshness, sweetness, and woody spiciness. I find the fragrance really really solid by now, could hold up well as a signature, even in the transitional months. Because so cool / fresh as Acqua the Gio or dgl. he is certainly not. And so bland also not. ;)Invictus Eau de Toilettegreets you with a blast of citrus. Zingy grapefruit is sweetened by lush orange and soothed by a refreshingly cool sea breeze. A heart of sweet jasmine is masculinised by exotic and slightly bitter bay leaf. Invictus Aqua is just such a fragrance. A straight fragrance that captivates with a clear line. One knows after the first sprayer what one can expect and what he knows to convince. I myself mainly used it when I got up on the weekend and then made my way to the bakery or took care of other short distances. For these purposes a perfume which radiates more and is more finished is simply too bad for me. These fragrances are well-known to reel in the compliments. Sure, they can smell a little synthetic, but it’s done really well, and they smell expensive.
