The paddling pool is now open every day from 10am to 5.30pm right through the holidays until Sunday September 3. You can make a day of it by going for a walk along the river and watching the narrowboats moored in the historic canal basins. At St Nicholas Park, there's an outdoor pool for younger children to enjoy. Usually open from May half term until September, it's shallow and safe for younger children and there are seating areas for parents.

Cotswold Country Park and Beach in Cirencester is home to the UK's largest inland paddling beach! You can swim in the lake, sunbathe, hire pedalos and have barbecues. The paddling pools go on sale from next Sunday May 19th – but you’ll have to hurry, as we are sure they’ll be popular buys. The splash park at King George V Memorial Park is open now right through until the end of the school holidays (September 3). You can enjoy free fun from 11am to 5pm during the summer holidays and from 11am to 3pm in term time.Little ones can enjoy the boat and shallow play areas, which is good as it can get a little boisterous when the older children are playing with the water cannons. The splash pad is right next to a large play area and there’s also a skate park too. And it's really close to Kidderminster town centre so you can always pop into the town for a coffee or lunch afterwards. Sand boxes offer even more ways to play outdoors. With playful shapes like shells and turtles, a sand box lets little ones build castles from the sand and explore new textures, encouraging creativity and curiosity as they play. Many sandboxes can be filled with water or play balls instead of sand for more outdoor games. We also have inflatable paddling pools and play centres that are ideal for your toddlers. Let your little ones explore and enjoy water adventures in sheltered baby pools, a classic paddling pool or an interactive splash pool. Water play is great for sensory development, so your pre-schoolers can learn while they enjoy themselves.

Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge boasts a splash pad with water jets, cannons, a spray loop and a flower water feature. There's also features a toddler area that is perfect for little ones. The paddling pool at Stratford upon Avon Recreation Ground is open daily from June 5 to Sunday September 3. Featuring water features and a pirate ship, it's a great place to be in the sunshine. The lido reopened for the summer season at the end of May. People rave about the café, the cleanliness of the changing rooms and the idyllic setting. Fees apply. It's around 40 minutes from Birmingham.
