All-terrain wheels: If you're in the market for a wagon stroller, you're likely going to be rolling it over a variety of surfaces from pavement and grass to sand and gravel. While difficult to assess without trialing, you'll also want an option with a robust suspension system to help handle rough terrain. Stroller wagons have a wider, more stable wheelbase than many other types of strollers. This means they are less likely to tip over. However, unrestrained toddlers can still fall out. Based on our research, we found these five categories to be the most important drivers of satisfaction with stroller wagons:

Adjustable handlebar: If you're looking for a stroller wagon for tall or short parents or guardians, a telescoping handlebar that can be raised or lowered to varying heights is nice. We tested the Wonderfold W4 Elite and the Keenz 7S. The Keenz is a 2-seater and the Wonderfold is a 4-seater. You may be interested in the Wonderfold W2 which is a 2-seater, or may simply want a wider wagon with more space than the Keenz offers. However, there are also stroller wagon hybrids that actually can be used instead of a regular stroller. There are two models worth mentioning: Keenz 7S Stroller Wagon and Veer Cruiser Stroller Wagon Hybrid (review and comparison below). Oh, and you don’t have to worry out spills and stains. You can easily take the whole fabric off and wash it. The biggest downside to the Keenz 7S is the folding and loading process. It took longer to fold than other wagons, requiring a clip underneath to be fastened. It is faster if you don’t bother with the canopy.

The Keenz is 14″ from the bottom surface to the top of the side making it impossible for toddlers to see out horizontally. A tallish 5-year-old was able to sit flat and look out the sides.

Over the last couple of years wagon were very popular in Disneyland, however beginning May 1, 2019 they are no longer allowed there! Why not make your next outing a real adventure? You can easily do exactly that with our 7S Ultimate Adventure kid's wagon with canopy!

The seats are also similar and not too comfortable. There are no footwells and the seats do not recline. Both these stroller wagons weigh quite a bit (more than a single strollers, but similar to standard double strollers). Without the canopy Keenz weighs about 29 lbs, while Veer weighs 32.5 lbs. Keenz 7S feels noticeably lighter. Nevertheless, lifting and putting both wagons to the car trunk is definitely doable, even for a petite mom. Additionally, we reviewed guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics on child passenger safety. Taller and more agile kids can climb up over the sides to get in. 5-year-old sitting in the Keenz 7S and 2-year-old climbing out

The Keenz 7S measures 31″ x 18″ x 14″ on the inside. This is slightly longer and wider than the Evenflo Pivot Xplore, Baby Trend Expedition, and Veer Cruiser, but shorter than the Radio Flyer Discovery and Jeep Wrangler. I found this great video were you can see the comparison of the regular wheels and beach wheels for Keenz wagon stroller. Although the regular wheels may work on sand, beach wheels are a good investment if you’re going to visit sandy beaches often. The ride is smoother for the kids and pulling the wagon is easier for the parent.

The Veer Cruiser had the highest scores in our testing and received our Editor’s Choice award. It is quite a bit more expensive than the Keenz 7S and does not include a canopy or any additional storage. Bonus: When you're not using the wagon, it folds flat with a one-handed mechanism for easy storage. Stroller wagons are really roomy and can be used for a longer period of time, when the stroller seat is not capacious enough to accommodate big toddler or older kid. They are also great option for tall kids. The wheels did not shake for us except in our run test. That was to be expected; stroller wagons are not made for running. A stroller wagon is a worthwhile investment for families that like to spend time outdoors or want extra storage space. By itself, this workhorse from Larktale transports two passengers (6 months old up to 50 pounds) in its multiposition reclining seats, but it can accommodate up to four kiddos with the brand’s double seat kit. And even an infant can enjoy the ride with the car seat adapter.
