Money Hunt- Eh. Ken has done this typa song 10x better on project x. This beat sounds like an imitation of a star boy beat instead of a real star boy beat. Hella unoriginal. Flow isn’t good either. Yeah this song is garbage but I still find some slight enjoyment out of it. 4/10 Atlanta’s Ken Carson may be at the forefront of a uniquely glitchy and mosh-pit-friendly sound in hip-hop, but at the tender age of 19, he’s somehow already spent plenty of time studying his city’s most impactful voices—and then also imagining himself in their shoes. “I used to hang out with TM88 and Southside all the time, so you [didn’t] know who was gon walk in the studio,” Carson told Zane Lowe in conversation ahead of the release of his album X. “But I was just the youngest guy in the room, so it’s like nobody really paying attention. Literally, every beat that I was listening to—in my head, I’m going crazy to it.”

If Looks Could Kill is Destroy Lonely’s debut studio album, serving as a follow-up to his August 2022 mixtape, NO STYLIST. Same Thing- Typical fun Ken Carson song. I feel like I should like this song more because it has a lot of the characteristics of a classic Ken song. Still good tho. 7/10 This marks the first such honor for an Opium signee, and confirms what fans have long known: “Yale” is an unforgettable song, a pure distillation of what makes Carson such an inimitable artist. Fast-forward some five years, and Carson is going crazy to just about any beat of his choosing following the success of his Teen X EP series and 2021 album, Project X. Of his Interscope debut, which features production from names like Gab3, Gl1tch, Outtatown, Rok, Star Boy, and ssort, Carson points out that fans are getting the most dialed-in version of his aesthetic yet. “My fans know that I’m big on the ‘X’ thing,” he says. “This one is just X, so the title says a lot for itself. I feel like I didn’t get the most experimental—if anything, I was just trying to treat the ear.” This would be followed with the release of the highly-anticipated, self titled song “if looks could kill” on March 3, 2023. However, following the release of this single, Destroy Lonely would keep radio silence about new music for the next month or so.

X- This shit is hard as hell. The beat sounds nasty. I fw the different 808s it adds variation to a repetitive sound. Ken nails his signature flow on this one. 9/10

Delinquent- This song is great. Sounds like they took some inspiration from Future’s “Draco” for this beat. Ken has great flows on here and funny bars. “When I was in school I was skipping class, when you was in school you was making friends.” Like damn why I just caught a stray😭. I fw the homixide gang feature on here idk why it gets hate. 9/10Going Schitz- Call me basic for liking this idc at all Ken perfects the “Trip at Knight” style of rage on this song. Great beat by loesoe. 9/10

Turn Up- This song is so good. Very good beat with infectious and melodic flows throughout from Ken. The 808s on this song are ridiculous in the whip. Amazing classic Ken song. 10/10 Fashion Habits - Ken brings a cool Future like flow to this great underwater trap beat. This song is so smooth. 10/10 New- Right off the bat this sounds like it’s going to be a hype ass song but by 1 minute it loses its steam a bit. The beat is very repetitive and the dull thudding 808 pattern is very mind numbing but also hypnotizing. Whole song puts me in a trance. 7/10Most overhated album ever only one skip for me. I hope this gets re-evaluated one day. Great album and incredible deluxe. Replayability boosts the score a lil bit. Murder Musik- This was the shit when it dropped on Lost Files 3. Idek why he released it but it still goes crazy. Ik y’all gonna kill me for this but Ken and Lone did better than Yeat did on Nvr Again with this beat. Hard ass rage song. 9/10 Freestyle 2- Insane concert song. I think this used to be in my top 5 on the album. I like Go more now maybe I overplayed this. Crazy f1lthy beat. 10/10
