I tested my circular saw on the station and noticed there was a slight drag or friction between the metal plate of the saw and the metal guide rails of the station. The Rip-Cut simplifies breaking down sheet goods as it rides along the edge of the sheet to ensure straight, accurate, and repeatable cuts. There's no need to measure and mark layout lines thanks to the edge-guided design. This guide allows you to rip continuous lengths of plywood up to 24" wide. The Universal Sled accepts left- and right-hand saws and is also compatible with the Kreg Accu-Cut and Accu-Cut XL. When cutting plywood, the good side — the one you want showing when you’re finished — should be facing down.Compound miter saws are fairly inexpensive, but their maximum cutting capacity is about 5-6 inches. Sliding miter saws have a larger cutting capacity but they also come with a larger price tag. Circular saws usually come with blades that have less than 40 teeth.
