If you want to attach your pom pom on a blanket or a scarf, don’t trim the piece of yarn you used to make the last central knot. Grab a length of matching yarn – or string, if your yarn is weak and prone to tearing. Thread the yarn/string into the channel and pull tightly, wrapping a couple of times and tying in a knot – this is what holds the pom pom together and why the yarn needs to be strong.
