Louise’s blog’s success encouraged her to expand her reach to other social media platforms. As a result, in 2010, she launched her YouTube channel. On 19 January 2010, she launched her self-titled channel, and on July 26, 2012, she launched a secondary channel called “SprinkleofChatter.” Life with a Sprinkle of Glitter was published in July 2015 by Simon & Schuster. The following month Pentland published Sprinkle of Glitter 2016 Diary: Have the Best Year of Your Life! through Faber and Faber. [3] [19] Then, in November 2019, she announced her own podcast, Mothers’ Meeting with Louise Pentland, with episodes focusing on “offering insight into the parenting styles, personal struggles, and points of view of some of Britain’s best-loved mothers.” Pentland grew up in Northampton. In 2003, she moved to Liverpool to study Psychology and Biology; she attended Liverpool John Moores University Louise Pentland is a British author, vlogger, blogger and internet personality.

The following year, Louise collaborated with plus-size clothing brand SimplyBe and successfully launched her own fashion style in the e-commerce portal. Not only is Louise incredibly relatable, she has a realistic and inspirationally positive perspective upon life, despite it’s inevitable ups and downs. Predictably, I laughed (sometimes uncontrollably- see anecdotes of Lizard Man and so on), I cried and moreover I felt liberated to start my mummy journey in whatever earnest I deem necessary. Undoubtedly, Louise is an empowering woman and I am in total awe of her integrity, honesty and hilarity. Pentland studied BSc Psychology and Biology at Liverpool John Moores University. There she met Matt Watson, a teacher, whom she married on 4 September 2010; their daughter, Darcy Jane Watson, was born in 2011. [13] Pentland and Watson separated in mid-2014, but both stated in 2015 that they remained on good terms. [26] [27] Pentland is currently in a relationship with Liam O'Neill; they have a daughter, Pearl Jane Pentland, born in 2018. [28] Pentland and O'Neill announced their engagement in March 2020. [29] Bibliography [ edit ] Title There was nothing particularly new here but there were some suggestions of more interesting themes such as mental health awareness, sex positivity and the loneliness brought about by weaker friend and family ties, but I felt like none were explored in enough detail to particularly draw attention to this book away from other novels of a similar genre. Most of these themes were rushed or left without a real conclusion by the end of the novel, though I was interested in them being brought up and would read a potential sequel to see if more would be done with these issues.Okay, so I am a long time fan of Louise, bought and read all her books and sadly, this one I didn’t think was amazing. She plugged it a lot in her social media and once I read it, I felt almost uncomfortable reading it, with her sister knowing that her mother has been written about without being able to show her side, fair enough though. And i felt like it would’ve been improved a little more by adding photographs perhaps? I also felt the title was a bit off putting for those who aren’t mums, or maybe even those who have lost babies. This is just my opinion. I know that sentence isn't grammatically correct lol but it's just to give an example of what the writing style in the book is like) It feels good to have the POV of someone who also had a complicated childhood and knows what depression, anxiety and PTSD feel like, talk about their experience of parenthood. But it didn't take long before I fell straight into the wonderful and whimsical writing. Louise's writing SOUNDS like her. I could imagine her reading this out or it being a vlog! As I progressed further through the book I became more and more inspired by the blossoming character in front of me, I lost count of the number of times I gave Robin an imaginary fist-bump in my mind!

Robin è talmente avviluppata da tristezza e autocommiserazione che spesso non si rende neanche conto della fortuna che ha nell’essere circondata da tanto amore, in primis quello rivoltole da Lyla, che stravede per lei. She used her blog’s name for her channel as well. Her DIY crafts were for a pre-wedding preparation regimen because her wedding with Matt was the same year. In November 2019 Pentland announced her own podcast, Mothers' Meeting with Louise Pentland, with episodes focusing on "offering insight into the parenting styles, personal struggles, and points of view of some of Britain's best loved mums". The first episode featured Angela Scanlon and Emily Norris, and subsequent guests have included Konnie Huq, Katie Piper and Nadia Sawalha. [25] Personal life [ edit ]The author's writing style was so natural, it was humorous but also incredibly insightful and it left me wanting more - I really hope to read more from Louise in the future.
