Description

They make this milk frother in 80 different colours, apparently, although at the time of writing, there are 36 colours available. I nearly wrote “only”, but I then realised that to plop the word “only” in front of 36 when exclaiming how many colours this is currently available in, would be a bit daft.

Creating microfoam successfully with a steam wand starts with powerful steam. From there, you need heat to create hundreds of thousands of tiny bubbles. They will not only capture the delicate flavors and notes of the espresso, but they will also unleash the sweetness of the milk. As you sip your freshly poured cup of coffee, the bubbles burst on your tongue, creating the perfect harmony of espresso and sweet creamy milk. We only have two major criticisms of this product. First, it seems like the promised results of “fading blemishes” will happen over time, which makes sense, but isn’t great for those who demand instant gratification. Second, we were disappointed at this device’s inability to get into the nooks and crannies. It glides smoothly and feels comfortable (and even relaxing) on the face, but we couldn’t really get into the undereye area and around the indentations of the nose easily, but maybe that’s just us. Microfoam (top) is used to make a wet cappuccino, whilst milk frothed with larger bubbles, called macrofoam (bottom), is used for a dry cappuccino. If you are looking for barista-quality milk foam with every coffee speciality whilst in the comfort of your own home, then look no further. The Subminimal NanoFoamer is a state-of-the-art milk frother that enables you to experiment with your own cappuccino and latte art.How much of each you end up with will depend on how you've maneuvered the milk jug and where the nozzle went most of the time. Conclusion Another possible reason is that your milk is too skinny. This is because milk that's been skimmed has the fats removed, but also a portion of the protein. This isn't a cheap milk frother, and I can see a few benefits over this one vs some of the cheaper milk frothers, in particular the wide range of temperature settings, and the hot chocolate mode which allows it to whip up hot chocolate for you via pieces of your favourite chocolate and milk.

So as I said earlier, manual milk frothers are the best if you're wanting control over the kind of milk froth you create (the size of the bubbles, cappuccino foam vs microfoam), and there are two types of manual milk frothers, the modified cafetiere type, and the hand whisk type. With a steam wand to help you to create the perfect creamy micro foam on your milky coffees or to create impressive latte art, professional 15-bar pressure heating system, tamper and a large filter basket that holds up to 16g of ground coffee, you’ll be brewing like a barista in no time. Last, you can use a handheld frother to froth your milk by hand. This is the last resort option as it is difficult to truly achieve any type of small bubbles with this device. It brings more of a macrofoam vibe, but on the plus side, clean up is a breeze. Milk TemperatureMicrofoam, which as I mentioned earlier is smaller protein covered bubbles than the bigger bubbles created for cappuccino foam, was invented along with the flat white, as far as I can ascertain, and came to the UK with flat white. As I mentioned earlier, you can make microfoam stiffer simply by stretching (injecting air) for longer, so what most cafe's will serve these days for cappuccino vs flat white, isn't the old school cappuccino foam, but is instead a stiffer, more dense microfoam.
