This title card is commonly used for episodes in which Francine is the central character. This was the second title card of the original six made for Season 1. Out of all the title cards used, this one was shown the most (30 times), along with Arthur Looks for an Umbrella. This title card was used at least once per season for Seasons 1 through 14. It was the 2nd of the original title cards to be retired in the U.S (and the 3rd overall). In "The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club," it is revealed that eating Hasenpfeffer Ice Cream gives her nightmares.

Having been found to act at a young age, Muffy started her initial career as an actress while studying in her elementary school and assumed lots of popularity as a famous actress. She is been interested in acting since her childhood and she took participated in a program of her school activities. Muffy became a famous celebrity and won thousands of hearts as a teenager and decided to be an actress and started focusing on her coming future. She participated in various shows and showcase her talents and struggle which have provided boundless opportunities. Muffy Marracco TV Shows / Movies / TV Series Following the success of her PhD, Muffy went to be tutor of computer science at the University of Edinburgh, followed by Stirling, and then in 1988, Glasgow, where she took a temporary lectureship. She explains: “I nearly went to Nijmegen, in the Netherlands instead, because I only got offered a temporary job at Glasgow. But suddenly Glasgow was the place to be, there were all sorts of things happening there, there was a “buzz”. But they only had a temporary job and it was Roy who said to me, ‘Muffy, do you want to be in the Netherlands in three years, now looking over into the UK and saying, “I’m trying to get a job there”, or why not take this job in a very exciting place now and see what happens.’ Good advice.” This coastal bolthole is in the picturesque fishing village of Appledore, on the North Devon coast. The property sleeps four guests and is perfect for couples and small families looking to rest and recharge in beautiful surroundings. You’ll be near some spectacular beaches, including Westward Ho! (3 miles), and can enjoy day trips to the market town of Bideford, the picturesque cliffside village of Clovelly, and the rugged heritage coast around Hartland (all within 15 miles). The Perfect Game" (Binky) (the gasping was left redubbed, and Muffy screams as she clears the screen.)Muffy is currently leading a five-year project called ‘the Science of Sensor Systems Software’; a programme funded by the EPSRC and which involves Glasgow University, the University of St. Andrews, Liverpool University and Imperial College in London. Muffy says of it: “It is one of the greatest things that I do, great in the sense that it’s most meaningful to me.” Buster is searching the sides of the center circle, then goes behind it and says "Hey!" as it magnifies his face.

What's Cooking?" (Binky) (since Cameron Ansell played Arthur and Paul-Stuart Brown played Brain at this time, the gasping was redubbed so it sounds like everyone was actually gasping, making Buster, Francine, and Muffy's voice actors sound as they were in 2006.) (In the U.S., the "10" logo appears on the side of the title card, to congratulate ten seasons of Arthur.) She has worked at the University of Glasgow since 1988, and was Dean of Research in the College of Science and Engineering until 2012. [13] She became Chief Scientific Adviser to the Scottish Government on 1 March 2012. [12] Previously Calder has served as Chair of the UK Computing Research Committee and Chair of the British Computer Society Academy of Computing Research Committee. [12] She became Vice-Principal and Head of College of Science and Engineering in 2015. [14] In 2015 she was appointed to the Council of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. [15] Research [ edit ] D.W.'s Very Bad Mood" (Francine) (when the flash goes off, a squiggle can be seen on the bottom. Kate's crying is also redubbed.)

The central circle is a spaceship. It flies in and lands, causing dust clouds to form, with what looks like a blue alien that has red eyes. The top half of the circle, which is transparent, opens to the right and the alien reaches for its head and twists it. It pops off, revealing a smiling Buster wearing an old-fashioned space suit and a helmet. From seasons 1- 15, her pajamas consist of a purple and white nightgown under a lavender robe and pink slippers. Starting with Season 16, her nightgown changes from purple to light pink and she doesn't wear her robe anymore. This was usually used in episodes where Binky is the central character. This title card was introduced in Season 2 and it was used twice in the Season 2 finale for both "How the Cookie Crumbles" and "Sue Ellen's Little Sister". D.W. Read is an aardvark. She’s also Arthur’s younger sister (and the older sister of their other sibling, Kate). As a preschooler, she’s not the nicest or most even-tempered character on the show. She often gets on Arthur’s nerves, though it’s clear her big brother still loves her despite it all. She also likes to cause trouble around her family members and friends. It’s obvious that D.W. is younger than Arthur and his friends, as she often doesn’t know the meaning of complex words and has the erroneous belief that teachers live in schools and babies come from a baby store. Arthur Read (PBS)

Arthur is seen sneaking away from the central circle's view just as D.W. passes in front of it looking for him. She looks for Arthur within the circle only for him to peek at her from behind unnoticed before hiding behind again. D.W. gives up and says his name, only for her side of the circle to rotate 180 degrees to show Arthur in the central circle's view where he says "Shh!" to the audience. In " Matchmaker, Match Breaker," Muffy wears a purple version of the third outfit, but the shirt is still yellow. This title card was introduced in Season 4, where it was also part of a scene in the episode " To Beat or Not to Beat," and has since been used for episodes where Prunella is the central character. It debuted in " Prunella Gets It Twice" as a sneak peek for the next episode. This was one of two pre-Season 16 title cards to show an actual image from an episode, with the other one being Fern Writes a Letter.Caviar de carottes au fenouil, faisselle de chèvre aux herbes, hummus de petits pois, focaccia, crudités Calder summarises her research interests as "mathematical modelling and automated reasoning for concurrent, communicating systems". [16] Calder published an influential overview on the feature interaction problem, [17] with more than 300 citations at Google Scholar. [9] Her research has extended to applying computer science methods to biochemical networks and cell signalling in bioinformatics, resulting in a number of papers. [9] Awards and recognition [ edit ]

Prunella appears to be voiced by a different actress in this episode, though Tamar Kozlov is still credited. Muffy is also friends with Brain, Binky and Sue Ellen. She also teamed up with Rattles. (" Love Notes for Muffy.") Muffy appreciates accomplishing bold and sensual photoshoots and videography which are admired by her followers. Muffy has numerous honours to her name, including an OBE, and Fellowships of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, which she says have all been really meaningful to her. She wished her father had lived to see her recognised by the RAEng. She says: “I always wanted to be a scientist. I always called myself a scientist. Yet, when I started looking more at the breadth of science and engineering and working with the biologists I realised, I wasn’t a scientist, I was an engineer. I don’t look at systems that have evolved through physical circumstances. I am dreaming of systems and building them, that’s what engineering is, and then I realised I really am an engineer. But now I’ve gone another step further, as now I’m starting to think, ‘but we can use scientific method to study and to understand the objects that we have engineered’ so I think this is beautiful interplay between science and engineering and I try and be scientific about the things we’ve engineered.”

Muffy says: “Some of the things that we explored were very much about being very clear about what is the purpose of a model. What questions do you want to ask of it, because if we’re not clear about that, models can take on lives of their own, and we can end up using models years into the future and asking questions for which they were never designed to give sound answers. We can become quite misled by a model if we’re not clear about what is the purpose of it. There’s a lot of ‘who’, who has responsibility all through this chain, from commissioning right to design, to maintenance, to use, to interpretation of questions.” If you grew up in the ’90s or early ’00s, you probably have fond memories of the PBS animated series, Arthur. You may also have kids or grandkids who watch the show today—after The Simpsons, it’s the longest-running animated TV show in the U.S. During her PhD Muffy took a number of part-time jobs including roles at the British Ship Research Association’, (BSRA), in the Swan Hunter shipyards in Wallsend, Burroughs Computers where she worked on a B80 machine and assembler, and the Open University, where she taught T101, microprocessor programming. Grandpa Dave's Memory Album" (D.W.) (U.S. only) (when the flash goes off, it looks like a rectangle inside the title card.) Arthur Changes Gears" (Francine) (Arthur says “Yay! Woo-hoo!”) (In the U.S., the "10" logo appears on the side of the title card, to congratulate ten seasons of Arthur.)
