And the "comic relief" from a rather... pissed off... Bakugo was GREAT. He's probably my favourite character of this manga so far - he's violent and rude and snarky and just... the sort of person you would probably hate if you met them IRL... but he has some serious depth to him, and you have to admire his tenacity and his need to win against opponents who are giving it their all in a fair match up. And I swear, his face would make small children cry so I'm really hoping that I'll get to see him doing hero work in public at some point because I really want to know how that will go... XD White-Hot Battle! To Each Their Own Strengths! ( 白 ( はく ) 熱 ( ねつ ) ! 各 ( おの ) 々 ( おの ) の 実 ( じつ ) 力 ( りょく ) ! , Hakunetsu! Onōno no Jitsuryoku! ?) Todoroki’s realization came with practically a talk-no-jutsu by Deku. Despite constantly saying he is not a Naruto clone, he is acting pretty much the same way.

I've been wanting to write a tournament arc since I was a little kid. Now that I've done it, I see it's a ridiculously hard thing to pull off. I love Bakugo accidentally walking into the wrong preparation room, where Todoroki is having some quiet contemplation before their fight. All It Takes Is One Bad Day ( All ( オール ) It ( イット ) Takes ( テイクス ) Is ( イズ ) One ( ワン ) Bad ( バッド ) Day ( デイ ) , Ōru Itto Teikusu Izu Wan Baddo Dei ?) The Wrong Way to Put Out a Fire, Part 2 ( 火 ( ひ ) の 不 ( ふ ) 始 ( し ) 末 ( まつ ) 後 ( こう ) 編 ( へん ) , Hi no Fushimatsu Kōhen ?) The Hellish Todoroki Family ( 地 ( じ ) 獄 ( ごく ) の 轟 ( とどろき ) くん 家 ( ち ) , Jigoku no Todoroki-kun-chi ?)

The Story of How We All Became Heroes, Part -1 ( 皆 ( みんな ) がヒーローになるまでの 物 ( もの ) 語 ( がたり ) − ( マイナス ) ① , Min'na ga Hīrō ni naru made no Monogatari Mainasu ① ?) After the three finish eating, cleaning up, and studying, Izuku thinks about Macchan and Takkun and hoping they'll be able to patch things up. He then starts to think about Shoto's words and wondering what changed between him and Katsuki that led to them being on such bad terms. He notes he can't remember what the reason was, even despite them being on speaking terms by now. He had always referred to their relationship as "childhood friends", but wonders if that would be appropriate if they don't get along in the first place. Let It Flow! School Festival! ( 垂 ( た ) れ 流 ( なが ) せ! 文 ( ぶん ) 化 ( か ) 祭 ( さい ) ! , Tare Nagase! Bunkasai! ?)

The Yaoyorozu Family holds their annual New Year's party where they invite hundreds of people from their elite social circles to their home to celebrate together, with everyone dressed up in suits and gowns, and with Momo Yaoyorozu standing at front to greet everyone as they enter. The guests each ask her about her time in U.A., which she politely answers. During the party itself, Momo is expecting to see the usual artists or entertainers that hold a live performance there, but instead she sees her father under the spotlight, introducing a special movie, which is revealed to be called "The History of Momo Yaoyorozu", highlighting all of Momo's moments from birth to now. As the video starts playing on the big screen, Momo becomes incredibly embarrassed and confronts her family why they got it made, with her father mentioning why put it together hastily when they learned she was coming home for New Year's, and how they wanted the guests to learn more about how wonderful they feel she is.Unfortunately, Bakugo didn’t get his wish. Todoroki didn’t use his fire ability against him, he just kinda… fizzled out… and Bakugo kinda got the win through default. Poor Bakugo, that is NOT how he wanted to win the tournament ;u; Later that night, Shota waits outside Eri's room for Present Mic, with the intention of acting as Santa and leaving her a gift to find in the morning. Present Mic arrives completely dressed in a Santa getup, to Shota's bewilderment, which he claims is in case Eri accidentally wakes up. Due to the last disastrous time when Shota tried to get clothes for Eri, he had Present Mic choose to present, which turned out to be a DJ set for kids, which he reluctantly accepts. As they are about to quietly enter the room, they're suddenly surprised by two figures already in the room dressed up as Santa as well; Thirteen wearing a suit over her space suit, and Midnight in a sexy Santa girl outfit. I love Bakugo’s response to all his classmates basically calling him a villain after his battle with Uraraka, he showed that after that battle (and after finding out she was NOT helped by Deku) he has gained some serious respect for her - especially compared to his usual respect level for… everyone… She had a brilliant plan, shame it didn’t work. And unfortunately she’s just lost. Poor Uraraka ;u;

The Story of How We All Became Heroes, Part 2 ( 皆 ( みんな ) がヒーローになるまでの 物 ( もの ) 語 ( がたり ) ② , Min'na ga Hīrō ni naru made no Monogatari ② ?) Class A vs. Class B: Conclusion! ( 決 ( けっ ) 着 ( ちゃく ) ! A ( エー ) 組 ( ぐみ ) VS ( バーサス ) B ( ビー ) 組 ( ぐみ ) , Ketchaku! Ē-gumi Bāsasu Bī-gumi ?) Flaming Roar! vs. Nomu: High-End ( 燃 ( も ) えよ 轟 ( とどろ ) け! VS ( バーサス ) 脳 ( のう ) 無 ( む ) :ハイエンド , Moeyo Todoroke! Bāsasu Nōmu: Hai-Endo ?) The fights are short and simple. For a fighting shonen, it doesn’t do a very good job at exciting you with its battle choreography. The fans of the manga can claim all they want how the fighting doesn’t matter as much as the clash of morality behind the action. Every run of the mill action title can have both, yet MHA refuses to be half of what makes such stories fun to read.Just then, they hear a faint noise outside the window, leading the four to act on guard, only for it to be Vlad King, also dressed as Santa, accompanied by Hound Dog, dressed like a reindeer and pulling a sled, who have also arrived to give Eri presents. The commotion leads to another figure suddenly showing up in the darkness, freaking the teachers out, revealing it to be Ectoplasm (dressed as Santa as well) with a present too. Vlad King had been teaching Eri gymnastics, and was happy to hear her call him "Mister Exercise", while for Hound Dog, she was initially scared of, but eventually warmed up to after he showed her some wildflowers and she drew a picture for him. Ectoplasm also scared her at first, but she eventually became comfortable enough to call him "Mister Song." Ectoplasm gifted her nursery rhyme CDs (which she can play in Mic's DJ set), whle Vlad and Hound Dog got her a comb, hairpin, and hand mirror, which they received help from the Class 1-B girls.
