About this deal

There are dozens of coffee capsule machines on the market, and although I’m sure each one has its own merits, it’s rare to find a coffee maker that combines ease of use, elegant design and reliable performance all into one machine. Sage has handily accomplished this feat with the Nespresso Creatista Plus, so if you’re in the market for a high quality premium coffee maker, be sure to put this one on your short list. Where to buy? The Creatista Plus gives you full control over exactly how much milk you add to your coffee but without having to stand there and heat and froth the milk. If you have ever been to one of their boutique retail outlets you kind of the coffee version of an Apple store.

It’s certainly not a big coffee machine but the depth is greater than the average so make sure that your kitchen worktop can accommodate it Functionality 10/10 This is simply a stunning looking appliance which exudes class and has a wow factor about it. Full marks here. Also available with slightly fewer milk options is the Sage Nespresso Creatista which is champagne-coloured with stainless steel accents. There are only a handful of products in a large space and all of them make the same quality of coffee but you feel as though you are transported into an Italian coffee shop with surroundings that inspire you to buy something

Key features of Sage Nespresso Creatista Plus

The key to a great espresso is even extraction that starts with low pressure pre-infusion, according to Sage, so that’s what this machine does. You can control the volume of espresso shots manually, if you prefer. Handily, it’ll tell you when it needs cleaning. The milk frothing feature does have a bit of a learning curve, so you will probably have to fiddle around with the settings a few times before you get it where you want it to be.

Secondly, coffee volume which is the amount of water you would like delivered into the cup. It is important not to over or under extract the coffee going into the cup so cleverly Nespresso has placed a line visually on a cup with the digital display showing you the optimum amount of water delivery but you can override this if you want for more or less water. Very straightforward and simple. Once you are happy with that press the dial again to take you to the milk settings. Those who shopped for this machine at John Lewis gave it five out of five stars. Happy customers said, ‘We just can’t go to high street coffee shops anymore as we always get disappointed with the taste.’ It was also celebrated as ‘a real pleasure to use’. This machine has a steam wand that produces tasty foam that could also have you creating your own latte art – should that be your desire.

Smart CleaningThe Creatista Pro comes with a water hardness testing strip inside the instruction manual. This helps the machine identify the type of water in your area, and work out the optimum interval time between descale programmes. The Creatista Pro will also turn itself off automatically after 10 minutes to save power. If that’s not smart enough, the drip tray will also tell you when it needs emptying. This model has a fully automatic steam wand and a whopping eight texture levels and 11 temperatures for the milk. Auto purge of the wand means less cleaning for you to do.

There’s a built-in steam wand and you can adjust milk temperature and texture to get different milky coffees just right. As the owner of a Nespresso machine for a number of years I can personally vouch for the fact that Nespresso does produce excellent quality coffee. Value For Money 10/10 It does and it is the reason that they have risen to be one of the market leaders alongside Delonghi.
