the fmc’s personality changed almost drastically in between. i thought her outlook would change steadily, slowly, so readers could follow along without getting confused, but it didn’t.

worlds worst book award!! did literally ANYONE read over this before it was published?? the gross misuse of the oxford comma and the general juvenile sense you got from the writing, if you told me a 10 year old produced this i would believe you. overall, horrifically written. yeah i get it your mom wants you to die so you do want to die but is that really good enough to kill yourself. sorry for being insensitive to this but i think the author was just milking it atpAfter thirteen years apart, childhood sweethearts meet again. Soon Aaron finds out that Sofia needs someone to spend the holidays with. Naturally, Aaron is her guy; making yet another promise to her. Because, sweetie, I will never forget you, even if the end comes for you. My heart will always have room for the people I love. I refuse to give up on this, even if it all crumbles to shards of glass. You have changed my life drastically in just a short period of time. You have dispelled the fog that had been surrounding me.

Cannot believe I finished this book just within a few days and even bought KU for it but here we go. The book has everything you want, new each other from early age, I’m obsessed with her, best friends brother. Like it was so cute but this girl can also write some spice. I love the spice scenes, they are detailed so really hot but their not a lot of scenes in the book which I love because now it felt just right and it didn’t feel unnecessary. It fit with the timeline

i swear to god we need to return to the 1950s and read good classical books bc im so tired of bad comperary books trying to make money off of random tropes authors think we like Also i find it a funny coincidence that the author is also from germany and knowing that english is not her first language, i think it‘s still really amazing how great the book turned out so props to her! So many times did I almost give up and hit the return option since there are many errors littered throughout.

I thought so too. Thought maybe...just maybe, this might be a 5⭐ read if it just gets a little bit deeper, digs deeper into Lily and Colin. I thought they were both fantastic since they had such fine minds. I related to Lily so much that I hoped for a good ending for her. Colin was incredible; he was infallible. He influenced Lily’s life and is now one of my avid readers because of his guidance.<3 I am honestly happy and glad that Sofia did decide to move to NYC in the end though or hell, I would have been mad and disappointed otherwise. Unfortunately that also meant running away from her childhood best friends. Nevertheless for my taste some details like relationships between characters could have been made clearer from the start but you could also easily follow as it is. Furthermore there were a few too many things going on beside the main plot and the train of thoughts from the characters were a bit repetitive.
