While heading to Stiix to confront Clouse, Nya summoned the Elemental Water Dragon, flying alongside her fellow ninja. However, she stopped by at the Ninjago hospital to tend to Nelson's leg injuries and presumably used the dragon once more to arrive at Stiix. According to Tommy Andreasen, the water which the Elemental Master of Water shoots from their hands is probably cold and not saline. [22] It is the only Elemental Dragon used by the ninja not to appear as its own dragon in a set in any form, though it does appear as part of the Fusion Dragon in 70627 Dragon's Forge, and according to the Updated and Expanded Character Encyclopedia, the dragon from 70602 Jay's Elemental Dragon is the Hydroelectric Dragon rather than the Elemental Lightning Dragon. Destabilizing Water Avatars - After merging with the Endless Sea, the user can't maintain their water avatars while on land for very long. They will have a hard time to maintaining their shape and their avatars will start to ripple and fall apart into a puddle if they stay out of the Endless Sea for an extended period of time. Memory Loss - After a certain period of time merged with the Endless Sea, the user will begin identifying as the ocean instead of themselves, causing them to become lost to the Endless Sea forever. However, they can regain their memories of who they are.
Out-of-universe, this is because "Ninjago is not scientifically accurate" and because the ability to control blood would make Nya's powers extremely deadly. [12] [13]
Despite Andreasen's statement implying that Nya couldn't control the water in people's bodies, Nya was able to remove the seawater Jay inhaled in Seabound. Hydrokinetic Transformation - Once merged with the ocean, the user's body would transform into water. Hydrokinetic Constructs - The user is able to turn Water into tools, objects, weapons, and other items. Nya used this to make spring/steps to move forward when there is no solid ground to stand on. It is worth noting that in " A Big Splash," Water and Wind were revealed to be pre-existing powers belonging to Wojira. Water is the elemental power whose user has been shown to control the most physical matter at once, that being the tidal wave controlled by Nya in " Curseworld, Part II." When asked if the Master of Water can control amphibious creatures, other than whales, Tommy Andreasen replied, 'If only there was a tv-series which could potentially answer that…' [21]
In Seabound, Maya and Nya discuss the "Water stance", which appears to be one of four confirmed forms of Waterbending from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Hyetokinesis - The user can create, generate, and manipulate rain, allowing them to control its intensity and water, even in a drought. My only complaints are that the wings could be a little bigger, and that the tail doesn’t have enough friction in the joints to hold a pose. Depending on how you choose to display the set, you might not notice those shortfalls at all. The sub also has a twist in the font-facing weapons. Zane’s sub gets golden ski poles – a nice meta touch in the part selection.
