Please note. Every effort is made to ensure the key differences listed are correct, but these differences are subject to change without notice. Products and the box contents can be changed without notice and different variants can exist. The Smart 6 comes with1 x CrossAction, 1 x Pro White/3D White and 1 x Sensitive brush head, but the Genius 9000 comes with one additional brush head, that is the FlossAction head. Now what dentists including myself, always say is you can clean properly using any toothbrush, manual or electric, high or low cleaning power. The Pro 1000 has a brush motor offering 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations, compared to the 9,900 oscillations and 40,000 pulsations of the Pro 2 2000. There is no battery in the case, to charge the brush and anything connected via the USB cable the case has to be connected to mains power.

In toothbrushes it seems the new modern tech way is the best/better… Some things like shaving are better the old school way (safety razor wet shaving). My opinion. The Pro 1000 has a more minimalistic design. A small rubber grip around the power button compared to the large rubber grip running the full length of the Pro 2 2000’s handle. Ultimately, all of the brushes will provide a very good clean to the teeth and gums if used correctly. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable. Whilst we don’t have specific figures for this model, we estimate that the Pro 2 2000 is about average in terms of its impact. This is because it doesn’t have additional, unnecessary extras like Bluetooth or an in handle display. The image below is a comparison chart that shows the main models available from Oral-B today, along with the features and functions each offer.

Put these two brushes side by side and the differences between them are much harder to tell, they look almost identical, however there are some subtle differences. Your brushing time, frequency and technique will have a bigger impact than the number of movements alone.BUT, one of the biggest flaws of the Smart 5 is the fact that you can’t easily tell what cleaning mode you are using. The Genius resolves this issue to a point with a series of icons that illuminate on the handle when the selected mode is in operation. Now the brush heads are interchangeable and can be used on any cleaning mode. However, some brush heads are better suited to certain modes and it would have made more sense in our opinion to have included the Sensitive head given that one of the selling points of the 3000 is that cleaning mode. Select models do come with it. Smart 5 5000 vs Genius 9000 Because the heads are interchangeable, if you have a preferred style, it can be fitted to the handle, even if it does not come in the box.

You have to stand in front of your smartphone when brushing and can’t really move as the brush movements need to be seen by the camera.

Together these alert you to relieve the pressure when brushing. Once relieved the light will go out, the brush motor speed up and the sound change again. The Pro 2 2000 offers 9,900 oscillations and 45,000 pulsations compared to the 8,800 and 20,000 of the Pro 1000. A pressure sensor is built into both of these models. However, only the Pro 2 has a visible pressure sensor. The lower powered mode is ideal for those with inflamed or bleeding gums, or if you find the Daily Clean mode too intense. Our Oral-B cleaning modes article goes into more depth, should you want to know more.

Protruding from the body, the power button is easy for the fingertip to detect. You do need to give it a fairly firm push, so those with dexterity issues might find it a bit more challenging. Both brushes offer Bluetooth connectivity, which means that they connect to an Android or iOS smartphone via an app. I’m happy to start using this brush and I got it as a Birthday present. It’s a pink one but that’s fine by me, I dont care about the colour too much and Pink is Cool! Regular price 100€ and it was on sale for 50€, good price, fair price for sure. It’s not a cheapo value electric toothbrush, but also not a high-high end one. No need to get a high end one, In my opinion. ReplyIf the Oral-B Genius is an Audi, the Oral-B PRO 2 2000N is a Skoda. Same company with so much value for the money. The 600 comes in light Blue or Pink whilst the Pro 2 2000 comes in a dark Blue or Pink. Both have gloss white plastic bodies. Scrubbing the teeth hard and fast doesn’t clean them any better. Long term it will actually damage them. However, the Pro 1000 has a cleaner, more minimal look to it. The design is said to be inspired by Oral-B’s more premium iO brush handles.
