Panacur Granules are effective on Ascarid spp (Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati and Toxascaris leonina), Ancylostomaspp, Trichurisspp, Uncinariaspp and Taeniaspp in adult cats and dogs. In weaned puppies and kittens, Panacur Granules treat gastro‑intestinal roundworms, as well as protozoa (Giardia spp) in puppies. They can also be used for the treatment of pregnant bitches to reduce prenatal infections with Toxocara canis and the transfer of T. canis and Ancylostoma caninum to their pups via the milk. For cats weighing over 22 lbs. additional sachets might be required according to the additional bodyweight. For cats/kittens weighing over 44 lbs. additional sachets are required according to the additional bodyweight. Assess the bodyweight as precisely as possible and then administer one or combination of the above sachets, which most closely doses this bodyweight. Administer the dose by mixing it into the feed.

For bitches weighing over 40kg, additional sachets are required according to the additional body weight. Puppies should be treated at 2 weeks of age, 5 weeks of age and again before leaving the breeder's premises. Treatment may also be required at 8 and 12 weeks of age. Thereafter, frequency of treatment can be reduced unless the pups remain in kennels where reinfestation occurs more readily. Pregnant Dogs Assess bodyweight as accurately as possible and then administer one or a combination of the above sachets, which most closely doses this bodyweight. The dose should be administered by mixing into the feed.

How Does Panacur Work?

For control of lungworm Oslerus (Filaroides) osleri in dogs administer 50mg fenbendazole per 1kg (2.2lbs) bodyweight, daily for 7 consecutive days. A repeated course of treatment may be required in some cases. Assess bodyweight as accurately as possible and then administer one or a combination of the above sachets, which most closely doses this bodyweight. The dose should be administered by mixing it into the feed. Administer 100mg fenbendazole per 1kg (2.2lb) bodyweight as a single dose. Practical dosage recommendations:

Panacur granules contain the popular worming agent Fenbendazole in a convenient granular form for adding to food.
