It was very much the women and their interconnections that carried the story along, and I loved that despite - or maybe because of - their mistakes, the author makes us care for each of them, and root for them. I found myself wanting to know more about them, even after I finished the book. AND I didn't see the last twist coming, so bonus points for finishing up with something that genuinely blindsided me!
