Press and hold pattern and select which patterns 1-16 to chain by pressing the corresponding key 1-16. Up to 128 patterns can be chained. One pattern can be selected multiple times, for example: 1,1,1,4 plays pattern 1 three times then moves on to pattern 4. After the last pattern is played the sequence will start over again. Copy or Clear a Pattern Despite its minimalist appearance, the PO-33 KO features an intuitive interface with clear and accessible controls. Its small form factor and battery-powered operation make it highly portable, allowing you to take your music-making endeavors anywhere you go. Additionally, the built-in speaker ensures that you can instantly share your creations with others without the need for additional equipment. Basic operation of the PO-33 and PO-35 will be familiar if you’ve used any of the previous models, but otherwise takes a little getting used to. You work with one sound slot at a time, chosen by holding the Sound button and tapping one of the 16 number buttons. You can then either play it freeform using the number buttons as note/slice triggers, or you can step sequence it by entering Write mode and adding triggers within the 16-step sequence using the same buttons. Real-time pattern recording is also possible by holding down the Write button while tapping out notes.

by saving this cost, high quality components could be used to guarantee the best possible sound and very low power consumption. Press bpm to switch tempo. the bpm will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. There are three preset tempos: If you still have no idea what I’m talking about, read a better explanation written by a smarter person here. PO-33 has 16 sound slots divided into two sections; melodic and drum. a sound will behave differently depending on which section it was recorded to.The PO-32 is another dedicated drum machine, but with a number of tweaks that take the functionality up a couple of notches. It offers 16 initial sounds courtesy of a complex onboard synth engine – complex in that you can transfer your own VST sounds onto it. This essentially means you’ve got an unlimited number of sounds to play with. It’s possible to record parameter changes into your sequence, and quite easily, too. To record parameter changes, you need to be in live mode, then use pots A and B to adjust the corresponding parameters. The modified parameters are set using the FX button, which we will go into a little more in a bit. The first surprising thing about the sequencer is that it can save 16 patterns. A pattern is basically one cycle of 16-steps that you save to one of 16 slots. This feature is important because you can chain patterns together to create longer sequences and potentially full songs. It’s not a surprising feature of a sequencer in general, but it’s fantastic at this price and size. If you have a pattern much longer than 16-steps, you can record in live mode across the entire length; pretty cool. Tempo Controls

The PO-12 is a drum machine and sequencer with 16 sounds to choose from. The sounds are a combination of synthesized and sampled drum sounds, and the overall character is kinda old-school 808-style. You can save up to 16 patterns and switch between them on the fly. You can also apply and save effects to your patterns, as well as tweak the individual drum sounds to individualise your ideas. note: this equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class b digital device, if the alleged defect arises because customer has altered or repaired the product without the prior written consent or authorization of teenage engineering; Hold for one second to copy the step. The display will show (CPy). This active step can written to other keys (1-16). Speak’s other voice - allocated to sound slot 16 - is a single channel of drum sounds take from the Tonic. This is a nice little tool for adding basic grooves under sequences. As with the Tonic, these sounds can be replaced with presets created in the MicroTonic plugin. Again, there’s also an onboard bank of excellent on/off global effects, albeit trimmed down to just eight varieties here, as the other slots are occupied by the voice modes. Each PO has a unique selection of sound effects. By pressing + holding ‘fx’ and then numbers 1-16, you can apply these to your entire sequence. They can be adde on the fly in performance mode or record to your sequence with edit mode. Here’s a summary list of effects on K.O!:

The screen sets a scenewithanimations that move and groove to your sequences. Italso displays some useful parameter information. The ‘write mode’ indicator is one of the most useful items on your display. It's worth noting is location, as this changes from unit to unit. Other than looking at the manual, the best way to find it is to toggle the 'write' button and observe where it appears / disappears from. Knowing whether you're in 'write' or 'perform' mode will always be useful, as you don’t want to accidentally overwrite your work! To copy the last played drum slice, hold sound + write then choose a drum sound (9-16) then a slot (1-16).to enter/exit write mode, press write. press 1-16 to enter sounds/notes in the grid. active steps will be lit. press lit steps to remove them. press play to listen to your pattern.

Changes in Voice mode can be recorded into the sequencer too, so you can build up some cool effects by changing mode mid-sample, and chaining multiple sample sources together into one single sequence. To reset a parameter of the active sample, hold record while turning knob A or B (LED shows rSt). Trim sound and pattern data can be stored to any stereo recording device for saving and sharing. connect a 3.5mm stereo cable from the transferring unit line out to the recording device line in.if this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures; press and hold pattern and select which patterns 1-16 to chain by pressing the corresponding key 1-16. up to 128 patterns can be chained. I have finally updated the ultimate cheat sheet. It’s much prettier now, plus I’ve fixed some mistakes and added even more useful stuff (and perhaps some new mistakes as well, please tell me if you find any). If you miss the old ugly version, you can get it here.
