About this deal

Some people are still confused about what is a prepaid envelope. In short, prepaid envelopes are those envelopes that either have a precanceled stamp, metered postage, or permit imprint. If someone else is printing your envelopes, be sure to pass on your licence number and design to your print supplier. Find out more in our Response Services user guide (pdf, 1.52 MB) We specialise in printed postage paid envelopes and pre paid envelopes. PPI envelopes are widely used to save time in your mail room as there is no need for stamps as the postage is already pre printed. The most useful application for PPI is return envelopes.

Royal Mail sell pre-paid envelopes that do not require a stamp. This should save businesses time and money when sending business mail. Pre-paid envelopes does not give a postage discount but it does remove the time of applying stamps. They can design their imprints following the USPS examples and guidelines. However, hand-drawn and hand-written permit imprints are not allowed. Items with metered postage must have the actual mailing date. Also, it does not require you to print the postmark information like city, state, and ZIP code as it is already written within the meter strip. To print metered postage, you should obtain a permit in the city from where you wish to send out items. If you have a business current account, you can also exchange notes for coins over the counter at a Post Office as part of our Change Lite service. Most direct mail marketers affix postage stamps on their mailpieces to give a personal touch. Stamps also create a nostalgic effect that raises your chances of building emotional bonds with your audience.Adding postage to the machine can occur 24/7 and the price of franking is by far cheaper than any other method. A franking machine can even be used to frank a company logo onto your mail, helping to expand your business name. Freepost is seen as LESS formal[yet exhibits the same features of a Business Reply licence number and 1st or 2nd class indicia, and are delivered in the same time] and more consumer-focused. The staff at the counter will ask you to put your card into the card reader and enter your PIN to confirm your account details.

The concept of BRM is that you prepay the postage on behalf of your recipients. But, the good news is that you don’t need to pay the postage for every sent BRM piece. The USPS charges you only for the pieces that are actually returned. DL - DL envelopes hold an A4 sheet folded twice; into 3 parts. Whilst this is the most popular size it does involve folding your stationery in three. If you prefer not to do this, you would be better off with the C4 or C5 sizes. One of the first forms of communication between companies often comes in the form of a letter, and therefore the printed envelope you use is vital in portraying your company's image. Printed envelopes come in all manner of sizes, styles, materials and colours. The most common envelope printing sizes are; DL, C6, C5, C4 and these correspond with the most common stationery sizes which are A4, A5, A6 and compliment slip size. Postage paid envelopes (PPI) / Pre paid envelopesDelivery standards are for items sent between most major urban centres and depend on origin and destination. Delivery standards are in business days, not calendar days. Some exceptions apply. Exact delivery standards exist for every origin-destination combination. Find the specific delivery standard from your postal code to a Canadian destination. But, how much is a postage-paid stamp available for? Well, you cannot buy a single precanceled stamp from the Post Office. They are much more expensive to buy. If you only send a few items per year, then stamping is perfect for your business, but for businesses sending much larger volumes every day it can become costly. It can even be a waste of time when applying each stamp. Pre-Paid Envelopes C6 - C6 envelopes hold an A4 sheet folded twice in quarters or an A5 sheet folded in half. Envelope flap styles In the case of metered postage and permit imprints, you get an advance deposit account from the USPS. Each time you print them on a mailpiece, the postage is deducted from this account.

Please note that parcels can be delivered any time between the hours of 7am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, unfortunately we are unable to offer specific times for deliveries or offer Saturday deliveries. Delivery times detailed below can be affected by national and / or local disruption, seasonal and / or weather conditions as our deliveries are carried out by third party couriers. Good question! The straight answer is, there is NO difference! NONE whatsover. THEY DO THE SAME THING!Seriously. It's all down to personal choice.

Pricing and how to ship

Stamps are the traditional way of sending business mail. Everyone knows what a stamp is. You queue in the Post Office and once brought they are applied to your mail piece. They can be brought easily, however the price is the main problem with using them. The final method of sending business mail is franking. A franking machine allows you to print a franking impression and this is the stamp alternative. You print the postage yourself and the key difference here is that the franking machine does everything for you. Little human interaction is even needed.

Fill in the details and hand it to a member of staff at Post Office counter. Cheques can take up to five working days to clear when paid in at a Post Office. C4 - C4 envelopes hold an A4 sheet unfolded. C4 envelopes are just slightly bigger than an A4 piece of paper or stationery, enabling them to carry a brochure or catalogue. Business Reply is seen as a MORE formal and professionallook. However, again, there is NO difference in the actual serviceor what it actually does. We wish they'd just standardise everything into one product, but there you go. Freepost Standardis the least popular of the two types. It allows for larger C4 envelopes (unlike Freepost Plus which doesn't).Plus' envelopes can only weigh up to 100g weight though. They must also be pre-printed with the special 'Plus' artwork and indicia barcode.
