About this deal

Let me explain- as a mother in real life - if I had to go to the extreme of LIE to the father of my child and say that my child is dead to protect them- then I would die with that secret. Willow’s life hasn’t been easy, founding out she was adopted, being a terrible adopted daughter (keep in mind she was a teenager), upon meeting a man in college him convincing her to drop out to marry him, it will get a little testy before it gets better after running out on her ex. with none of her belongings, she ends up working as a waitress working with a temp. agency. When one night working the VIP, she meets what she thinks is a nice, important guys. Leo sexy as all get out Don of the Bratva, wears sexiness like a coat, if he sets, he sights on you well you will be his rather you want to or not because this boss gets what/who he wants, and lately he has been watching Willow. When her ex. comes to drag her out demanding she come home well you guessed it Leo steps up in her defense and she thanks him in more ways than one. The following day Willow gets a call from the Temp. agency with a really good paying job working in a mansion upon arriving realizing it is the man she was with the night before and him telling her that she was his and she will be his wife bearing his children but first she needs to divorce that creep of a husband. But can she live with the darkness of the man who says is to marry him especially after seeing the murder of the attorney and the same man Don of the Bratva cell killed Leo’s older brother will she run or try to run from the violence that surrounds him, will she tell him about the baby, will she reach out to the parents who adopted her and can they find happiness? I look down at my ravaged fingernails. I tear at them when I’m nervous. One nail in particular has an ugly, jagged edge. It looks dangerous, like it could do some damage if I put my mind to it. But the moment I apply pressure, it folds like a piece of tissue paper.

The rest of the story follows suit with some basic explanation of who Ariel is and how it has taken over 8 years of her being undercover with her fiancés' murderer, who is Leo's brother. Nothing is noted how the egotistical Leo explains why in over 8 years he still hasn't been able to bring down his enemy and his brother's killer. Her voice sends a shiver down my spine. It carries a dusky quality that promises all sorts of pain. Leo is patronizing - an emotionless robot who literally doesn’t change at all. Shows Willow 0 respect and forced her into a wedding and loads of other irrelevant things. Her eyes go wide and her head jerks towards the door as though she’s just heard something. There are moments when I wonder if there’s not something seriously wrong with the woman. I guess that doesn’t stop it from being true. Nor does that stop it from driving me insane. It’s been on an endless loop inside my head for the last week. Viktoria Mikhailov. Viktoria Mikhailov. I am Viktoria Mikhailov.

But then, while filling in as a waitress at a fancy restaurant, I trip and land in the lap of a gorgeous stranger. This is a mafia forced marriage romance I mostly liked it the writing was good but the two main characters pissed me off so much and this did affect my overall enjoyment. Leo Solovev is Bratva and he has an agenda one that involves Willow Reeves soon to be Powers. Willow is in an unhappy abusive marriage and she wants out but her husband has no intentions of letting her go that is until Leo enters the picture totally taking over and giving her little choice regarding her future by his side. I don’t dream about anything,” I tell her quietly. That’s the truth: in the few restless hours of sleep I’m able to get each night, I see mostly darkness. It’s still preferable to this hell. After reading the first one I was included to read the second because I knew it would be a redemption story.

When no one comes, she tightens her grip on my hair and pulls down hard, yanking me towards her. “He wants you dirty,” she tells me. “He likes his women dirty.” Willow is so dense she literally doesn’t use protection once and then is shoooook even she’s pregnant. No Both characters are distasteful, in my opinion. Willow is immature and bratty, although I can understand her reactions in some cases. Leo is mean and arrogant and never lets up. They seem toxic together. She can't say no to him but won't listen to him and he doesn't seem to respect her at all. The story felt like one long argument. Carrying on…. I found Willow to be too stupid to live and annoyingly pathetic and weak. I actually put this down as a DNF because it was so frustrating to me. But really this type of “I take what I want and don’t ask”/ “ I am man / I have no feelings / I do killing” is beating a dead horse. There’s nothing new or exciting or different about it.The lead “alpha” male Leo, has zero redeeming qualities. About 80% of his dialogue with the heroine goes something like this: Leo Solovev only ever saw me as a weapon, and he’ll view the baby as the same—if he gets the chance. Before I can stop myself, I glance down at my arm. She grabbed me two days ago and left behind three long claw marks. It looks like I was mauled by an animal.
