Like their namesake, the scorpionfish are highly toxic creatures; their sharp spines are covered with venomous mucus to neutralize potential threats in the ocean. But this won’t necessarily stop them from being hunted by sharks, rays, and large snappers. The western red scorpionfish kind of resembles another species that lives in the ocean and lies in wait for predators to pass by; the scarlet frogfish (which can actually “walk” or rest on modified fins that function like legs). #9: Strawberry Poison Dart Frog The strawberry poison dart frog features unique traits in theireyesthat enable them to differentiate between different color variations of their species. Redbone Coonhounds are spectacular American hunting dogs that only come in a magnificent red color. These dogs are intelligent, loyal, and loving. You should bring them out for no less than 45 minutes of activity each day, though larger Poodles will require more exercise. They will be happy to prance around the neighborhood or spend time with their friends at the dog park. Being protective of their family, this breed can make a good watchdog as they bark to let you know if someone new is around. However, Irish Setters are prone to separation anxiety if left alone for too long, so always allow them to spend time with someone if you aren’t there with them. Poodles of any size can come in a beautiful red color, making them one of the more common red dog breeds. These delightful dogs are incredibly smart and happy to learn new things– provided you give them lots of praise! They are happy to be a part of your family, and will take well to new people and animals. Poodles are social butterflies, and will always want to be the center of attention. By now you should have plenty of information about these striking red-coated dog breeds. While there are a few additional red-coated breeds out there, this list has the most popular dogs that you’ll find readily available at both rescue centers and local animal shelters. Toy Poodles are usually less than a foot tall, and weigh 45 – 70lbs. But smaller size doesn’t mean less energy. In fact toy Poodles are incredibly lively little dogs. They can be nervous around strangers though, so they need careful socialising as puppies to help them gain confidence. Dachshund In the summertime, burns from hot pavements are certainly a possible cause of red paws. Dogs with burned paws are likely to be painful – they may resent examination, so be careful. Very occasionally white foxes are reported from the wild; both albino and non-albino animals have been documented. In their Mammals of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Heptner and Nikolai Naoumov noted that white (or “de-pigmented” as Heptner and Naoumov called them) foxes are rare and that such animals most often appeared in the southern forest zone of the region.
