Description

The nobles thought of us as an adorable pair of lovebirds, and we spent many a day with our heads together, discussing the empire we would build together in our future. We were a team. Duke and Duchess Trovi: Navier's parents. Her mother taught her much of the strong beliefs that she keeps about how an empress should act, including that if her husband were to take a concubine, she should put up with it and not complain openly. Her father taught her horse riding and made a special handkerchief for her, which she later gave to Heinrey. It is implied they have a close relationship, as when she was upset over struggling position in court, others offered to have her parents brought in to comfort her. Should I go to his room and tell him to hand her over? Should I force her to leave? Or should I have her work here in the palace? The one who enslaved Rasta is a duke, and he wants power. So he manipulates/threatens Rasta, using Rasta's status as a concubine and as someone who is pampered by the emperor, the duke always asks for an incredulous amount of money to Rasta. And Rasta, who is afraid of him (because he is the tangible proof of her past as a slave, and other things (Rasta's past as a slavr hasn't really been described, just a hint here and there)) does as he bids.

The story itself is perfection! Again, I'm not a political reader fan, but I LOVE this! Plus the fantasy aspect is deeply intriguing! (Honestly wish I could say more on it because its my favorite LOL) Everything is so engaging and was SOOOO sad when it ended. I'm already desperate for the next volume even if I caught myself smirking at the turn of events. Countess Eli za: Navier's former head lady-in-waiting when she was the Empress of the Eastern Empire. Despite being the more reserved of Navier's ladies-in-waiting, Eliza was always there to reassure Navier that her feelings are validated. In chapter 154 ( Go to chapter) Navier’s pregnancy is confirmed after having premonitory dreams and Heinley dances in the form of a bird. It is unsure if she was helped by the magic bed or not. In which chapter is the paternity testIn spanish it is called “ La emperatriz divorciada” o “La emperatriz se volvió a casar”. What is the story about? Sovieshu and I didn’t have lovers yet, but we were busy with our own schedules and moved in different circles, so we ate and slept separately most of the time. The reasons for Alicia's banishment are connected to Sovieshu and Navier's infertility problems, which led to their divorce and Sovieshu's marriage with Rashta. We only eat two meals together each week. There are so many other topics we ought to discuss. Do you truly wish to dwell on something so trivial?” Lady Laura fussed with my train. “No matter how pretty that slave girl may be, she doesn’t hold a candle to you, Your Majesty.”

Kaufman: A grand duke and representative from the Kingdom of Luipt who prepares trading arrangements with Navier. Kaufman felt sympathy for her as her country allows her husband to freely commit infidelity and took it upon himself to gift her with a love potion that he had crafted. Trying to prove to her that the potion would cause no harm, he tested it on himself and, having miscalculated exactly how potent it was, fell madly in love with her, even going so far as to threaten both Sovieshu and Heinrey when they got too close to her. Although Kaufman had to eventually return to his kingdom, he offered to take her with him so that she doesn't have to worry about her husband's concubine, an offer she declined. He later drugs Heinrey to fall in love with Krista, though he is able to avoid major consequences of this action by virtue of his status as an important foreign diplomat as well as his deal with Navier to use his telepathic ability to their political advantage. He later tried to make amends for his mistakes by helping her in court matters besides diplomacy. I heard the filthy girl is a runaway slave,” Countess Eliza muttered. “She must’ve gotten lost on the hunting ground.”Lady Laura caught my eye. “If so, then she probably belongs to Viscount Lotteshu. The hunting ground is connected to his property.” Miss Masters : Leader of Unit 2 of the Knights of the underground and one of Navier’s ladies in waiting. Was introduced to Navier by her brother, Aprin Violet. Despite appearing as brutal and fierce, actually is innocent and soft at times, which led Navier to have a soft spot for her. She is always there for Navier, and has helped her on many occasions with her intellect. Also takes a lot of interest in her brother, Lord Kosair. There’s some theories that say maybe it is depicted as something he could be imagining at the end of his life, as it happened with Rashta… I will,” I said. “Thank you, everyone. I’m sure he only brought her because he felt sorry for her since he is a compassionate person.”

Nianne's son is accused of being the result of a premarital affair with her (now deceased) brother-in-law, which leads to her divorce from Duke Tuania. As it turns out, those accusations were false and she refuses to return to her ex-husband for him not believing her in the first place. Has there ever been an emperor who didn’t have a mistress throughout history? Even the great Emperor Osis II had twenty mistresses. You’d only hurt yourself getting upset over it.”

And although I think the author's intentions weren't to create such a toxic atmosphere in the comment area, I have to say that the combination of the said trope (pitting women against women) plus the whole "It's the woman who stole my husband from me" helped the development of this atmosphere. I hate this "logic" of stealing someone in a "romantic" setting, nobody can steal someone because people aren't things, your partner can't be stolen he can choose to leave you or if this was another kind of story he could have been kidnapped, forced to leave you or coerced, but in this story, it wasn't the case. At first, we spoke only of recent political events and preparations for the New Year’s celebration. Gray-and-Gray Morality: The novels are much more nuanced in their character portrayals than the webtoon and the game, particularly when it comes to Rashta and her descent into villainy. My ladies-in-waiting seemed upset when I returned to my room after a long day of discussions with government officials. That being said, she was very carefree and engaging and often mischievous in her crown Princess days. She often sneaked out of her home when certain "Sir Leedy" came to visit her, which was a secret code name for Sovieshu. She often hit him with pillows whenever he teased him too much or she got mad at him. Hitting him with a pillow also led to the incident of her first ever kiss.

Don't report me saying I didn't credits the original owner, where clearly I have, If you did, you clearly didn't read my explanation. U_U Deliberate Values Dissonance: Both out and In-Universe. Having multiple concubines or lovers by both men and women is not seen as unusual in both the Eastern Empire and Western Kingdom, while Princess Soju of the Southern Kingdom comments about how bizarre she finds this practice. Kapmen openly tells Navier that this is unthinkable in his country and the queen would be justified for killing a concubine there. Fourth, the prince of the next country (who on the first chapter is said will be the empress' next husband) is just lovable <3 The webcomic is available to read here . The game is available on Maybe Interactive Stories app. There are talks of a South Korean live-action adaptation.

Christa Zemensia, who is also a popular, Proper Lady queen from a ducal house who failed to conceive an heir with her husband. Navier's arrival to the Western court causes Christa to lose her spotlight and results in her fighting to retain her position. However, while Navier was always capable on her own, Christa is a pawn of her family. Determined, innocent, and delicately beautiful, Rashta shakes the Eastern Empire to its core. While initially a runaway slave, she aspires to rise above her rank and escape her past. And Sovieshu will do anything to help her and keep her at his side. This leaves Navier scrambling to keep her place on the throne, even as her marriage crumbles while lies, deceit, and betrayals threaten to do her in. Before the divorce, Navier is responsible for trade negotiations between the Eastern Empire and the kingdom of Luipt, represented by Kapmen, who finds Sovieshu's treatment of Navier appalling. However, Sovieshu ends up arguing with Navier right in front of him over her refusal to accept Rashta's baby, resulting in Kapmen punching him. Sovieshu takes advantage of this and his jealousy over their friendship to end trading relations with Luipt... and any trade benefits it would bring to the empire, one of which being hopefully finding the cause of the declining mages. Navier does secure trade negotiations with Luipt as the empress of the Western Empire, which improves its standing.
