Starting a new habit can feel challenging. Although we may have every intention to sit in the power, we may forget to meditate and often let things slide. Get into your usual meditation spot, or find a quiet place to be still and take a deep, slow, methodical breath to quiet your body and mind. To perform this step, inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for four seconds, and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Hold your breath for four seconds before taking another inhale. Empowerment: By definition, empowerment is the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and asserting one’s rights. Through specific empowerment meditations, one can channel this strength. I usually sit in the power during the evening, but I prefer to meditate during the day. As a night owl, I find it easier to connect with the spirit between midnight and 5 am. At this time, I can instantly align with consciousness and connect with the spirit realm.
