Notes: Mask Wars was later re-published as Crime on the Fens. Shadowbreaker was re-titled Shadow Over the Fens. If You Like Joy Ellis Books, You’ll Love… This is a mystery with a different point of view. Through twists and turns we eventually discover the truth. (Although I guessed it earlier, it didn’t spoil the book at all.) The mystery was decent, but coincidences were everywhere - the expert who just happened to have studied the murderer that the suspect was obsessed it, who was actually the murderer himself and was also obsessed with Evans, who he tried to murder. Plus all the incompetence from seemingly everyone, that was still somehow able to be salvaged at the end. And at least three people, in three separate situations, venturing somewhere alone, despite knowing there is a serial killer on the loose! Three people, two of whom are cops! Appearing via a video link, he said his father was "very strong", "very fit" and "loud and aggressive". The parents claimed they killed the son-in-law because he was abusive, murdered their daughter because she became addicted to drugs, and targeted their son because he was single and having relationships with students, according to Hussein Rahimi, a Tehran police chief, quoted in newspapers.

He spoke about how Cooper would go for long walks at night after dinner with his sawn-off shotgun; the weapon he used to murder brother and sister Richard and Helen Thomas in 1984, and Peter and Gwenda in 1989. A white (blond, in fact) male journalist is described as a 'new up-and-coming voice' or something like that and the police record a suspect's interrogation on a literal tape (surely they don't still use those). Court officials said the parents seemed largely of sound mind but they needed to investigate further. They are also reportedly looking into whether any other family members might be missing in suspicious circumstances.Film students paid tribute to Babak Khorramdin, with one message reading: “Goodbye, the world’s kindest teacher … from cinema students.”

As a murder mystery thriller crime novel, The Murderer’s Son, presents multiple suspects, and you may or may not guess who the killer(s) is before the end of the book. Joy Ellis expertly provides plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing and second-guessing yourself. Either way, you won’t be completely sure until Ellis reveals all near the end of the story. Khorramdin’s parents could still face the death penalty, however, if they are put on trial for the murder of their son-in-law. Whatever happened at that time it left a scar on Andrew, which I suspect can't ever be mended properly.

The servant reenters with Macbeth’s two visitors. Macbeth reminds the two men, who are murderers he has hired, of a conversation he had with them the day before, in which he chronicled the wrongs Banquo had done them in the past. He asks if they are angry and manly enough to take revenge on Banquo. They reply that they are, and Macbeth accepts their promise that they will murder his former friend. Macbeth reminds the murderers that Fleance must be killed along with his father and tells them to wait within the castle for his command. A young man who is the son of a serial killer confessing to the murder of a young woman in her kitchen. The police don’t believe him and release him. When another young woman is found dead, things take a turn. Was the young man telling the truth? Soon, one of their own is in danger. First, this author has some serious writing skills. It’s well paced, has good flow & a real sense of place. It simply comes down to a matter of taste & what you enjoy reading. During the court hearing, Akbar told Hamshahri reporters he had no regrets. “I don’t regret what I did with the cooperation of my wife. They were corrupted and I thank God.” Andrew has clearly been affected by the relationship he has had with his father, the attitude that his father had towards him, even blaming him for the murders.
