The battery is decent on the Mini, with a two and a half hour life. I only needed to charge it once, and it lasted for an entire week’s worth of testing. Charging time was also decent — it took a little under an hour to power the Mini from a low charge to a full one. If your Mini is completely dead, expect a charge time of an hour and twenty minutes.

It means you can now connect it to the Therabody app and use the guided routines and the custom speeds. Even though this is not a must-have option (you can learn the routines on YouTube), beginner users can learn different massaging techniques. Therabody App allow you to set custom speeds and follow the guided routines. The Bantam also features better ergonomics. It has a 15-degree angled handle that allows for a more natural and firm grip. It’s comparably quiet, but has a smoother sound. Therabody worked on the size, weight, charging type, noise, and connectivity. In our opinion, they did a much better job than the guys at Hyperice. The Hypervolt Go 2 felt nearly identical to the older Go.

The battery on the Mini 2 has a shelf life of two hours, but that can be shortened if you apply a copious amount of pressure and force the motor to work harder. The power button features a single LED light in the middle, showcasing the battery life. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights, which may vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. The main reason for this was, while it felt good to hold it for a short while, holding it for longer strained the arm. You had to keep readjusting your grip from time to time. The companion app is also extremely helpful, as it’s full of guided routines for you to use. Once you pair your Mini 2 to the app, your speed setting will be automatically set to the optimal speed for each routine, and a force meter will indicate how much force you should apply. The Hypervolt Go 2 may be considered the natural alternative to the new mini 2 due to the rivalry between the two giant brands. This one has a more classic look – it looks more like the Bantam but larger. The new mini and Ekrin Bantam are true mini massagers. The Go 2 is bigger and heavier. We’ll start by saying that if you already own the Mini you definitely don’t need to upgrade, as the upgrades do not justify the cost. However, I didn’t realize how much I needed a mini version of the Theragun Mini until I tried it, and now I can’t imagine it being any other size. For starters, it weighs the same 1.1 pounds as the new generation Theragun mini. But the shapes are different, and the Bantam has way better performance aspects than the new Theragun mini.

The Theragun Mini was already my favorite Therabody massage gun because of its triangle shape and perfect palm size. It was easier to grip than any other mini massage gun, arguably easier than any other massage gun of any size I had tried, and enabled you to add direct pressure to sore areas with much less friction than with the standard L-shaped massage gun. The old Theragun mini (we’ll call it mini 1 from now on) is still one of the most recognizable mini massage guns out there. The unique triangle shape makes it stand out. It’s the shape consistent with Therabody’s design language. The weight has been reduced by 25%, down from 1.45 pounds to 1.1 pounds. We did the measuring with the ball head attached. This is a significant reduction for a mini massage gun. It basically went from heavy to light in terms of weight category. It has a tad less than 10mm amplitude but way more percussions to keep the intensity high and remain effective. The Standard Ball Head: This one is the universal attachment. It can be the semi-soft one and can massage the entire body. Thanks to the three speed settings and the high-amplitude percussions, using the Theragun mini will feel powerful enough for people who are not used to sports- or deep-tissue massage. However, for athletes, the mini might not be powerful enough to relax muscles after rigorous workouts effectively. For them, I recommend the Theragun Elite instead. Theragun Mini review: Also consider This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. While the mini 2 is easy to stall with its 20lbs. stall force, the Go 2 is even weaker. We figure there isn’t more than 10-15lbs. of stall force in the motor. Hyperice doesn’t say how much pressure their device can withstand. Percussive Therapy: Ultra quiet with advanced sound insulation and premium design. Melt away your tension and empower your recovery with Theragun deep tissue handheld massage gun. The new mini is still expensive and isn’t as versatile as Ekrin Bantam, which we still believe is the best mini around.
